I’d like to make a complaint about an employee I encountered yesterday evening (7/11/23) around 8pm. I approached the service window and before saying anything was told in a disgruntled tone that he was “the only person there” and asked if I wanted “to come inside to help.” It seemed as though a patron ahead of me was awkwardly standing inside with him. The patron received his order and left, then I was alone with the employee. He asked me for the name on my order again and asked “why I looked scared” and again implied that I “should come inside and see that he was alone.” I felt very uncomfortable. He mumbled a sarcastic remark and walked off to prepare my food.
I didn’t mind a longer wait time for my order, but everything he said to me made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. As he handed me my togo bag, I told him that his behavior towards me rubbed me the wrong way. He attempted to smooth things over with me and commented on my appearance. I told him I also work in the service industry and understood that he was busy, but the way he spoke to me was unprofessional, and he asked, “Do you want everything for free or something?” I did not, I had already paid online, but if I hadn’t I would not have gone through with my order based on our exchange.
I told him I order from y’all a lot and didn’t appreciate being talked to like that. He looked at my name on the order, repeated it to me, and angrily told me to never...
Read moreMy wife and I booked Austin Daily Press to cater our wedding at The Grand Lady. Having had to previously plan and cancel a wedding during COVID, my wife and I just wanted to hire vendors that were easy to deal with. Not only was Reed and ADP amazingly easy and low stress to work with, they made the process a breeze and at a great price. It was just an added bonus that they blew everyone away with the unique and amazing food. They even packaged up the leftovers--our only regret is that we didn't order for more guests than we had, as I wish we had taken home more leftovers!
After the wedding, we had countless guests asking us who catered because it was AMAZING! Reed put together the perfect menu, amazing craft cocktails (that jalapeno margarita has no equal), and over the top service from beginning to end. We never had to worry--Reed handled everything himself and was a great joy to work with. I would, without hesitation, recommend ADP as a caterer for ANY event at ANY budget. Their unique combinations of hip MexAsianish food hit the spot. We've since made regular visits to the brick/mortar location and we will continue to do so for the forseeable future.
Thank you Reed for all your amazing work, and feel free to use Marcela and myself as a reference for any and all interested clients. We are...
Read moreThis is my happy place. I was soooo happy when I discovered this place one night with friends on the way to The Wheel.
I immediately fell in love with their amazing menu (their staples menu is incrediballs, but they also have special daily features that are kinda always mind-blowing), but knew it was meant to be when my mouth was introduced to the drool-inducing nom-ness of their pineapple express and hushpuppies. I don't live on this side of town, but when visiting my friend who does, thoughts of ADP goodness always cross my mind.
I recently strayed from my "usual" and was not disappointed...their mole mushroom oaxaca cheese panini is...well, it is just NOM!!!!!
They also were featuring persimmon ketchup. Are you serious, ADP?! I usually avoid ketchup like the tomato based plague that it is, but whenever I come across "fancy" ketchup my tastebuds perk up and my interests are immediately piqued. Needless to say, this stuff is made of the dreams of other ketchup and was so good I literally just dipped my finger in it and went to persimmon ketchup heaven!
Oh, and lest I forget the fried flavorful majesty that is their brussel sprouts? This one speaks for itself, so just let it happen.
Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here and if you do, you don't...
