Where can I start?! Jennifer Carey was absolute Godsend to my boyfriend and I on our first home purchase! She was referred to us by my realtor uncle, who has been in the business for 35+ years, he definitely knows his stuff and he couldn’t have chosen a better realtor or a better team to represent us! As most probably already know, this market can be a bit intimidating, especially to us first time home buyers. There were honestly a few times where we thought maybe the timing was not right; but Jennifer was the most gracious and encouraging realtor throughout the entire process. She continuously cheered us on until the very end and made the whole experience one we will never forget!

My boyfriend and I at the time were living in another town, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Austin, and Jennifer was always so accommodating. She would open up her busy schedule for us sometimes even in a minutes notice, for whenever that “perfect” house would hit the market. We loved how involved she was, constantly sending updates, reminders, and the LISTS! It wasn’t just those automatic search threads that most realtors tend to send out and leave alone for a while and make you do the most of searching and finding. No, almost every day we would get a a very personal email with tons of address’s and listed beneath would be a written section of all the pros and the cons of each property and what she thinks would be perfect or maybe not so perfect for us. Not to mention, she always left the communication line wide open for us which we very much appreciated. Actually, Jennifer, my boyfriend and I had a group message thread going on and I swear, we messaged back and forth throughout the day more than we texted anyone else in those 3 month, haha

This woman is like an actual book of realtor knowledge! Every question we had, she had the perfect answer to. But if she didn’t have the perfect answer, she would go and figure it out and she would get back to you in the next few moments. She was was able to point out so many things that my boyfriend and and I would have definitely overlooked ourselves. She is someone who kept fighting for us throughout all the highs and the lows, it definitely felt good to have her on our side. And I know my boyfriend and I were not always the most easy clients, at times... but she made it look easy, though. :)

Working with the Open House Austin Team was exceptional. I worked with Sydney Schuster, and I've been singing her praises for the last few months. I put off buying my first house for about 4 years because I was intimidated, didn't think I had enough cash, wasn't sure if it was smart, not knowing for sure how long I'll be in Austin, on and on...

It was Open House's education programs (Instagram, podcast, and a few webinars I attended) that gave me the courage to start the process, and it was Sydney who made the actual searching and purchase process smoother than I'd ever imagined it would be. She was always three steps ahead of me. Every time she called to update me on something, we would talk through the issue and options and I would say, "Ok, I think I want to do [this]," and she would respond, "I thought you might say that, so I already have the inspector/foundation expert/etc. on hold in case!".

She managed my expectations at every turn; I never felt like I was in the dark about what was happening or what my options were. She always got back to me quickly and was overly prepared with all of the critical information for me to make a decision.
