Rain came through the night before and temperatures went from a high of 80 on Monday to a high of 60 on Tuesday. Add to that 10-20mph winds and it was COLD when the game started at 6:30, but you’d never know it from the number of fans who came out to watch.
The stadium seemed very new, had plenty of quality concessions, a merch store, and general admission was $3.00!!!
I didn’t see many tourists; most of the crowd were college students, families, and old folks. It was really great to see so much support for a college baseball team.
My daughter got the hot dog and it looked like actual meat. I got some hot candied pecans and they were excellent. The hot cocoa was eagerly anticipated but very weak and tasted as much of cinnamon as cocoa. 🤷. Choices were plentiful and prices consistent with what you’d expect to pay in a college stadium.
There’s a clear bag policy so don’t expect to bring a backpack or something in. Check out their website for details.
One tip: if you’re walking from downtown it’s not too far, but there is LOADS of construction happening on campus, and if you don’t plan your route, you’ll find yourself backtracking and taking lengthy detours to get through and around areas that are blocked off. Also, the capitol grounds are closed at night and under police guard, so you have to go around that huge expanse instead of cutting through. Just look before you...

UFCU Disch-Falk Field is generally a great place to cheer on the Texas Longhorns baseball team. Texas Athletics has pretty much maxed out this place to provide a great experience for fans. There are suites and chair back seating. The food options are good where the food trucks seem to rotate out every season and like this last game Chick-fil-A was selling their sandwiches. There was a very wide variety of alcoholic options to choose from. HTeaO was also present selling their delicious tea.
There was a Team Store and Trailer selling a variety of Texas baseball merchandise. Everything there is cashless and Apple Pay works. Texas also gives away free stuff too like posters and scorecards. This past visit I also experienced the new YETI Yard in the outfield. This was free to enter until capacity around 60. They had their own drink stands and a few very nice YETO chairs but only had access to port-p-potties.
Improvements I like to see for his ballpark is replacing the turf with real grass, possibly cover the whole Left Field seating with a stadium shade structure to help fans get out of the sun, Add more paved parking for fans near the stadium where many were parking in open gravel lots. For the last game the available lots had a ParkMoble sign with code 96125 but the App would not allow you to pay to park. Perhaps make it free...
Read morePretty cool stadium could have a little bit more food options. So I would say the food that I had was pretty average. Make sure to get seats in the shade. This place is pretty nice though when it’s not 100 out so go during a cooler time if possible. Parking is pretty expensive so be prepared to spend about $100 for 2 people. Parking is around $15 tickets are between $17 and $30. Food is about $8 per item. Not a bad place to spend the evening though. I would definitely go back maybe not this year but in like a couple years. Good place to go in a date. Im a baseball fan the baseball wasn’t that entertaining really wasn’t really too concerned about the game really it’s just a good place to get out and enjoy a couple hours of your free time. I’d say a little too expensive If you didn’t have to pay for parking I’d recommend going parking seems a little much on a weekday I guess ubering there would be better. They have a lot of parking not sure why they need to charge. Definitely worth a visit about every...
