I am the demographic for this place. Young, upper-class dad with a couple kids. I was excited for a chill outdoor spot like this. They have pickleball even if getting a court is rare. Nice playground for kids. That being said, I won't be back. First time I didn't get food. This time I did. The food is not good and no one at our table was impressed with their meal. Ok.... but what makes it worse is it's SUPER overpriced for what it is. The draft beer is $9 which is totally reasonable for a vibe like this, but the food is where this place fails. Nearly all the food is $20 and all ala carte, meaning doesn't come with fries or anything. My pork crunchwrap + onion rings w/ no drink was $37 then tax, then convenience fee (more later), then tip. I dropped $45 for what should have been priced half that. That's insane and it wasn't even good! It was mushy and part of the pork was undercooked so I broke it off. Who wants a mushy crunchwrap? How is it cheaper to eat in the DOMAIN per person than this place? This type of place should hang their hat on decently priced food because nothing we ordered was great and you hit the drinks hard. Alcohol is the margin. They're more preoccupied with bleeding you on mediocre food. Other issues: 1) they charge a CONVENIENCE FEE on everything you purchase and it's not the app charge, it's even charged on a draft beer at the counter. So on top of overpriced food they charge you an extra $1.50 on the top. Super frugal. 2) parking is consistently a problem. 3) glitchy app for ordering works half the time and you're often worried when it has your card in it. 4) no staff...
Read moreI usually read reviews before I visit an establishment I havenât been to before and I probably wonât be going to this place. When people leave negative/constructive reviews and the owner responds back in a snarky manner instead of taking the opportunity to make the business a better place for its customers, itâs probably not going to be a positive and pleasant experience.
Revised Review- Iâve been a businessman, and for the most part self employed for 40+ years. Iâve tried to do a good job of listening to my clients/customers over the years and take constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve myself and my level of service. The owner might want to tone down his snarky comments and get rid of his comments that come across as criticizing his life bloodâŠ.his customers. Needless to say- no customers=shutting the doors.
Having said that, by pure coincidence our grown kids wanted to celebrate Motherâs Day here today which I adamantly opposed but our son and his wife have been here multiple times and said they loved it. We went and I have to admit, it was very fun and enjoyable. The food was excellent, the drinks were good and our grandsons enjoyed playing over on the playground. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The live music was a little loud causing us to move from outside to inside, mainly because of our newest grandson, who is only three months old.
My wife posted on social media today that this might have been her best Motherâs Day ever. In spite of the ownerâs attitude toward people who donât leave comments that he/she doesnât like, we...
Read moreCame out on a Friday evening around 7:30 and the place was packed! No parking available. I think some of my friends parked at the USPS nearby that was closed, not sure if that's alright.
You have to order your food through a QR code or NFC on your table that directs you to download an app called Union. I cannot express how bad this app is. Not only is it laggy, it also doesn't accept prepaid visas. Having to install an app just to order is ridiculous. Some of my table were able to get away with using some web interface but on Android, I was redirected to the app download every time.
I guess I went on their opening weekend or right after it? Either way, most of the beers on draft were listed as sold out. Their fried cauliflower was also sold out.
I ordered the burger and tater tots and my partner got the chicken tenders and fries. The rest of our table got different things like the sausage.
There was no rhyme or reason for how orders came out. I ordered my drink first but got it last. My partner's chicken tenders came out 10 minutes before my burger, and it took another 14 minutes for the rest of the food to come out. All in all, we waited 35+ minutes for our table's food.
The burger itself was alright. Heavy on the pickle. Tater tots were nice and crispy. I don't like how they serve ketchup packets with the meal. My partner's chicken tenders were pretty dry.
Overall, a great spot to meet with friends and have a drink or play pickleball (if you reserve a court), but I wasn't a huge fan of the...
