The donuts are filled to order, people! Want a chocolate long john with buttercream filling? Maple long john with strawberry? They'll do it no matter how awful your tastes are. Here's the kicker, a custom filled ranges from $.90 to $1.40 depending on the canvas (round or long john). Why is this great? If you have to ask why, you won't appreciate it, go to some other place where robots make donuts. They adher to donut guild code, which means you need to get there before 10am to have selection, before 7 for transcendence. If you can't make those hours, you've got bigger problems than not eating these amazing donuts.

Was fine as a donut shop, decent cake and yeast and fritter donuts, as well as croissants and breakfast tacos (flour only). White cream filling very strange though.. took one bite of a 'cream' filled selection and the cream was not sweet at all, almost. tasted plasticy.. tough to get that flavor out of my mouth.. plus there is a bum sleeping outside the door.

The best part about moving up to north Austin is having Central Donut nearby. Everything I’ve tasted has been a banger (my fave are the spinach puff pastries) the staff always has a big smile and asks how I’m doing. You really get a neighborhood donut shop vibe, and it really feels like a community!

WOW! This place is amazing!! I have stopped here several times in the past for breakfast and I have NEVER had a bad experience here!! The place always looks so clean and the workers here are very friendly! It's not even the fact that they have the typical "Welcome! What would you like to order?". I mean, these workers actually talk like normal human beings!! They usually say things like: "How're ya doin' this mornin'?" or "Oh hey! It's you again!"

And my my, what great donuts! I typically get a few tacos here as well, but their donuts are pretty darn wide in variety! I have tried almost every donut there before, and they are all really worth the trip.

My ONLY picky thing about this place is its location. It's right behind a Wendy's hidden in the middle of a bunch of other notable joints that would steal customers like Subway or that (Kolache?) place. The first time I discovered it was only after I went out of my way searching for it on google maps....and then I finally realized I drove past it about 3 times. It's so hidden....but once I found it, I can't stop going there.

But alas! It's still a great place to get a quick and cheap breakfast with some positive energy flowing through your...

PRO'S:: *The convenience is the key, with a great attitude... To me, they're always smiling, and hustling to make your food so you could go to work, school, or just want to enjoy your breakfast.

*The prices are low here... for an example: a croissant normally costs about $2 and some change and they're fulfilling as well.00

*The food is very delicious here; from croissant's, to kolaches, to donuts, to fritters, even Boudain (Louisiana Flavor)... An assortment of drinks are located within the cooler to the right as you're entering.

*Wheelchair assessable location... For parking and dining.

*Takes credit cards, debit cards, and cash

CON'S:: *$4.00 minimum on Debit/Credit purchases, otherwise there's a ¢50 surcharge... Some people may want just a kolache and a donut and may be charged ¢50 extra because that's less $4.... otherwise, there...

Delicious breakfasts, fair prices and friendly staff. Whether I'm craving a sweet doughnut or a hearty breakfast sandwich this is my go to spot. They are sooo much better than the nearby big corporate franchises with better taste and quality but still at a reasonable price. The sausage used in both the breakfast sandwiches and the kolaches are savory and flavorful. Kolache with cheese, sausage and jalapeno is my favorite and they do have some heat but not too much. Hard to pick a favorite donut because they are all pretty darn good. Austin used to be full of places like this but now they are rare. Glad to have this one so close by! Oh and they do big orders too where you call them in ahead of time. Great way to be the office hero by brining in sweets and eats from...
