If I could rate zero, I would.
Racism is live and real at this location.
I visited your restaurant location on April 24th 2019 at 5:40 p.m. I ordered street tacos for takeout but you're waitress inform me that a happy hour was taking place all day. Therefore, I canceled my order and told her that I would go see whether my family wanted to come over to eat.
I returned to the restaurant by myself to order food off of happy hour menu and was informed by another waitress that the happy hour was over, I explained to her that another one of your employees told me that it was all day.
She went to confirm with your manager whether happy hour was all day and returned to tell me unfortunately it wasn't. I left from the table and ask the original server to find out whether the manager will extend the happy hour prices to me because I was misinformed.
The manager Karen agreed to extend the happy hour prices to me and when I ordered my cheese sticks, the and spoke back with Karen. Karen came back over to the table and said she was only a standing the happy hour prices for my tacos, she will not extend the price to the cheese sticks. I was upset, I felt like I had just been targeted as an afro Latina female in a predominantly Caucasian community.
I asked her do you think I will leave the restaurant just to come back to to only order tacos and receive a $1.29 off an order just the pay higher than the amount with a tip.
She never even smiled at me and had a frown on her face the entire time especially after she realized the color that I was. I asked her rather she was racist because when she actually came out to tell me she frowned and seemed to be displeased that I was an Afro-Latina woman that she had extended an offer to.
I told her that it wasn't my fault that I was misinformed and that employee should be trained better than they had been. I believe that if an employee tell a consumer or customer something incorrect and it is up to the company to correct that. In my case it did not happen completely and correctly. I asked for the manager's business card and told her that I was going to promptly report this to the corporate office.
Karen then asked whether I was still interested in receiving the tacos. Of course I was, I literally walked over twice to obtain the food that I wanted but under the impression that I was getting the happy hour menu price. Therefore, I canceled the order because of the mistreatment and left out.
When I got up from the table she followed me to the door as if I had done something wrong and when we got near the door because I asked her whether she was racist again she said get out in front of some other customers that was waiting on a to-go order as if I had did something wrong to her.
She also told me I'm not racist, we serve diverse people all the time. What does that mean?
This is unjust and unfair treatment in any establishment and a business that is ran like this will only result in downfall. I'd appreciate if you can follow up with me.
I never once got loud with her. Yes, I expressed my concerns and my feelings and she continued to try to prove with me that she wasn't racist and that everything she did was right.
I'm a citizen, I pay my taxes oh, I work every day, I am a middle school teacher and I expect to be treated with just as much respect as the next person.
I would appreciate if this is handled in immediately and seriously. I have never in my life been treated this...
Read moreI'm pretty disappointed. What used to feel like an exciting birthday meal just makes me upset I wasted it by coming here. I love wings, and BWW was- especially this location was one of my top choices next to Wingstop. Until last here I have been coming to this location for years on a very regular basis. I started to reduce my visits when the food needed extra attention before eating. I never really had an issue with the service like I did last night. Actually there used to be some wonderful, attentive people that worked here. The bartender must have needed help or something. She was too busy, slowly filling beers and walking back and forth to even acknowledge me for a bit. My order was simple and I had everything ready to pay out because I had my old dog in the car. She still had to continue with the beers. Not only filling them, but serving them, AND chatting it up with a big top RIGHT BEHIND ME. Still she couldn't handle putting my order in so I could pay and get back to my panicked dog. Finally I told her I'll be on the patio (for that reason) she paused to think and told me to pay first. . . AGAIN with my card in my hand. Finally a couple minutes later I got my receipt rushed to sign it (didn't even look at what was on it- I never do that) left a much lower tip compared to the 35%-50% I'd normally leave) and rushed out to my dog.
Due to the way she was moving and her attitude I didn't bother to ask about a sauce bottle I bought months MONTHS ago and never received. Every time I went they were out, but my points were already redeemed for it. Unfortunately, this time I could have really used the extra sauce. I ordered my 6 birthday wings- which were great. I do wish it was half and half instead of just one drum but whatever. Then I ordered 10 more traditional with medium sauce and lemon pepper seasoning. Along with a couple bleu cheese and a couple ranch.
I was hurried to get my old pups home to even look at it and the person that handed me the bag was too busy talking to someone else to even verify what was in the bag.
Both boxes (which is a newer style then before) were wet and falling apart when I pulled them out of the bag. The medium only had sauce on 2 wings. this is a problem I've hS more recently. I don't know what's going on but they have gotten so skimpy on the sauce I have been asking for more the past several times I've been. Not only were the majority naked- there was no lemon pepper. (Even though receipt stated that in the order) then I pull out 5 weird looking bleu cheese containers. I don't know what they've changed but it's nothing like it was. I don't typically like bleu cheese but theirs was good now it's just ... Nothing I would have ordered. Unfortunately I had no other options for ranch because the distracted bartender only added the funky bleu cheese to my order.
The service was one thing but I was very disappointed with most of the meal. I'm happy at least the birthday wings were good. Last night was the tipping point for that location. If I bother going to a BWW again it definitely...
Read moreWent to lunch today at this location (7-17). Arrived about 1:10 PM. Place was relatively empty. Seat yourself. Sat and waited. Friend and I on lunch HOUR. Mostly empty place. Server was alone. But not crowded. Took a long time to even get to us. No greeting until after about ten minutes. No biggie. Apologized. Got us menus. Took drink order. No sense of urgency at all. Not going to blame her, but it was noticeable. Took our order. Was thorough, took notes, repeated requests, etc. So looking up.
Food took a minute...a loong minute. Was observing one other individual who I guessed was the manager. Mostly moving in and out of the kitchen area and went to the back to get a bucket of ice for something. Food arrived. As ordered. Not bad. Not good. Just food. Reasonably priced. Drink order mistake. No biggie. She corrected it. But her pattern to work the tables was disorganized. Lots of start to move in one direction, turn back around, turn back to the direction...etc. Fine....we were eating. Drink cup was empty. But was just trying to finish up.
We were now at the 50 minute or so mark. Plates empty. Sitting waiting. Finally she brings the checks. And off she goes. Still fairly slow. We need to go. About ten minutes pass....again. Still slow, but had not picked up our payment method. Finally get tired. Had been observing manager. Standing over in the bar area talking to a girl and the female bartender. Had not checked on his patrons in the main dining area, but I guess the girls were great conversationalists. Waitress had not picked up our payment method yet. Need to get back to work.
Walk to the manager. Now, I own this. I ask if he is the manager....he says yes. I say "why don't you get your a** over there and help your server instead of talking to these girls". Guy told me to get out of his restaurant. Now remember, he was not folding silverware, cleaning anything, etc. He was casually talking to a couple of girls. Not policing his server. Not engaging customers or asking if our dining experience was good. So while I may have been rude, I had been waiting for over an hour now in a mostly empty restaurant. So he kicked me out. Said that he would not be talked to that way in his restaurant and did not need my business. I said fine. Went to the table (still had not picked up payment method). I offered to pay him and he told me to get out. He was muttering the whole time about me being rude. Fine dude. But I have to get back to work. There was no crowd. And you were gabbing with the ladies.
So he wins. I got kicked out. I did not pay. Sorry to you owner. Thanks for the free meal. I will not be dining in your establishment anymore. I said something mean to your manager in front of his lady friends. Sorry not sorry because my time is important and I should not wait an hour for 10 wings, some fries, and tea.
I own my actions. I admitted them. But you have bigger problems with this manager and where he focuses his attention. And to be clear, i was nothing but polite to the server. I do not blame her.
End...
