Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Austin

Sorry to say I was disappointed. I visited this Chipotle about 4pm .No other customers were present. The food displayed looked a little old and dry but I went ahead and asked for a veggie burrito . The employees were friendly and helpful. The lady put on my fillings of choice and then proceeded to roll the burrito .I was a bit grossed out by the way she rolled it because everything just squirted out the sides in a sloppy unappetizing way .She then she wrapped it in additional foil. I decided it would probably be ok anyway , because after all , when you eat it, the trick is to pull away just a bit of the foil at a time as you eat . I got my food to go . It was just bland and not tasty .The grilled vegetables had a funny taste .So did the rice and beans. The pico de gallo salsa had no spicy flavor .The guacamole seemed pretty good .I ate a few more bites and threw it away . I'm sorry if this is TMI , but for the next 24 hours I belched the strange and disgusting taste of that burrito. Chipotle to me has always seemed like a copycat of Freebirds World Burritos. I used to eat at Freebirds near I35 and 38 &1/2 street about 8 years ago .The line of customers was overflowing out the door and the burritos were magnificent. I guess I was hoping for something at least similar to that . It was not even close! I hate to write a negative review , and perhaps I just caught them at a bad time . I felt annoyed because I was expecting to treat myself to a yummy meal. I ended up eating a bowl of cereal while occasionally burping up a slightly vile taste . FREEBIRDS WORLD...

Hands down the cleanest Chipotle…maybe because it’s always empty. Nonetheless we were given the bottom of the brown rice it was literally crunchy and inedible… (she was literally scraping the rice yes SCRAPING off the side of the container) “lI asked for extra rice and she claimed to need to go make more “this is all I have honey” (MAMM GO MAKE MORE) also the portion sizes were laughable counting chicken as if her job depended on it… I literally asked for double everything… and they charged for it And the lady at the counter attempted to charge me for a tortilla on the side as well! SINCE WHEN!

This is not the first time but will be the last time we visit this location for $30 + for food that wasn’t fresh and service that was mediocre is criminal. Proceed with caution

This place is my weakness... Anytime it's late & I want to have a good meal but not feel guilty, this is where I go. Their chips are so delicious; different than the rest, a bit thicker, always have salt & their guacamole is also fresh. No artificial funky aftertaste like some other places that try to stretch their product. The kids that work there are very respectful & friendly. There's a young gentleman there, tall, handsome boy, that is always very attentive & respectful. A lot of places you go now-a-days with young people working, it's one for the other. Either you're putting up with really bad service just to get the food you like. Or, sometimes, unfortunately, the service is so bad you decide never to go back again. Not here! They have a great crew ready to serve you with a smile. Thanks Chipotle for making my late evening meals great from the moment I walk...
