I’ve been a repeat customer at this place and love the food, when I heard they moved to Manor I was a bit disappointed because it would be further away but still wanted to give them my business.
I placed an order online and drove the 25 minutes from South Austin. Order was supposed to be ready for 11:30. I Show up at 11:45 and it’s not.
Lauren the supposed manager was explaining she was having system issues, and to come back in 15 minutes and the food will be ready. I said no worries, things happen and waited.
Came back 15 minutes later and she had a frustrated attitude explaining that she had other orders before mine and she “didn’t know what to tell me” she then started raising her voice and was talking over me, when all I was trying to be was understanding and work with her. Because at this point I have over an hour invested into this burrito, I wanted my food and to just go home.
I couldn’t even get a word in and she’s yelling at this point saying over and over again “I’ll just refund the order” out of disbelief and frustration I just leave empty handed. As I walked back to my car I could hear doors and cabinets slamming from the food truck and a few moments go by and I see Lauren walking away into Batch.
I’m absolutely blown away at the lack of empathy and resolution on just a human level… not only did I have my time wasted but was made to feel like somehow I’m the problem.
Nearly two hours of my time wasted, and...
Read moreTheir is a coffee shop everywhere in Austin, but finding 1 that is actually genuinely friendly seems harder than it should be. I decided try this one out and was very disappointed. My order was taken by this 1 armed character with short shorts that seemed more appropriate for the beach than a workplace. Some of these alternate lifestyle folks thrive off getting reactions from people, who might not otherwise have any opinion of them. Anyways I was informed they did not have any regular coffee , but they had an Americano which did not make a whole lotta sense to me. I settled on a green tea and they did not even bother to fill the cup up. Then places usually have honey available to the customers along with the sugar and whatever else. They kept it behind the counter and when I requested some, the lady would not even allow me to put it in myself as though not giving out honey is gonna boost or cut their business costs. I sat down on the back porch and had the feeling like the baristas were just waiting for some reason to tell me to leave. These little things make a difference in the customers experience and if this place does not do well, then its no wonder why. I won't be returning because places like this make me just wanna enjoy...
Read moreReally not a good burrito, but it was edible. I got 2 $20 burritos. One breakfast and the frito rito. Both do not use quality ingredients or seasoning. I chose the option to make the spicy and it made zero difference to the burrito. The salsa Dona (hot sauce) is literally chunky water with no spice or flavor whatsoever. Absolute disappointment for the price. The only reason I would eat her again is if I was starving and had no choice. It’s kind of a disgrace to the Austin food scene. I had to go home and put Taco Bell hot sauce on it to make it somewhat enjoyable. When I picked up my order, there was no one in the truck and they just slapped the bag on the ledge for...
