Departure Lounge — Restaurant in Austin

I'd give this place a 5 star if it wasn't for my very rude waitress. After my girlfriend and I ordered drinks, I sat at the bar to use a plug for my laptop- and was asked to leave by (overheard her name) Dani, as apparently only paying customers are allowed to stay (even though we hadn't been cashed out yet). After explaining that I had previously finished my drink (and wanted more, no less) and that my girlfriend had made another order- she rolled her eyes and took my order. The food was fantastic- but the remaining part of my stay was handled by another waiter (Ronald, according to my receipt) who was working hard to keep everyone in the place satisfied while she sat around and chatted with another blonde gentleman, clearly working as little as possible. Ronald was clearly in overdrive, running tables and the bar alone. For the remainder of my time there (I ordered more, because the beer was good, as well as the food, go figure) she proceeded to give me dirty looks and shooting glances at the end of the bar, as if I was annoying her with my presence there. I'm not sure what my problem was being there, but I honestly would've had even more to eat and drink if she...

Dear Team, I am writing to you to inform you about the fabulous experience I had in your establishment at the Austin airport. I had exceptional service from both Anthony and Dailyn. The were friendly and helpful and a font of wonderful joyful conversation. I have never had such a pleasurable experience at an airport before. I was delayed 3 times on flights today and your team here really made it fun for me. Southwest and the other airlines should be paying you guys for the unbelievable support your team provide to travelers by making them welcome and happy. Never buy food to go from this “restaurant”. On Tuesday I purchased the hummus with pita bread and veggies. When I opened this on the plane, the food looked like it had been pulled from the trash. The celery was old, brown and the two pieces that were given in the order appeared dirty. The carrots were slimy. The pita bread..three sections were old, stale and inedible. I didn’t open open the small …ketchup sized containers of hummus. At that point I thought I would become ill if I ate this food. There are some great places to eat at ABIA. Choose one of those places....
