If I could put -10 for service that would be an overstatement.
You better hope you’re a man if you want to get served here by Troy G. Let’s look at this experience together. I’m flying home for my uncles funeral and needing a glass of wine to soothe my flying anxiety.
I walk to the bar where there are numerous open chairs and every single one of them had a dirty empty glass. So what. I slide one over and sit down. No big deal. I sit for 3-4 minutes then get up to ask Troy G if they are serving at the bar. The lady that was standing behind the bar at arrival grabbed some drinks and left. He gives me some passive aggressive comment “I tried to say hello to you as you walked to bar but you just kept going and blah blah blah ” - ummm….excuse me but when do I stop at the host station to sit at the bar? - I thought in my head. I say “ok, I’m just making sure you’re serving over here”. Troy says yes but then takes his sweet time to enter the bar and bring me a menu, which I replied, “do you have a Pinot noir”? He said “here’s the menu” walked off and started wiping the bar. He comes back after cleaning some more and I give him my order and he asks if I was 21, I giggled. For reference, I’m nearly 50 years old. Meanwhile a man walks in….oh boy…wait for this…”Hi friend! What can I get you my friend” he immediately says to this man that just walked in & sat down. He hops to his beer order and continues wiping. Now, I’m getting upset. I ask about my order and now think I have to be a man to get served here and he says “you didn’t answer when I asked if you were 21, I have to ask” Really?!!? Honestly, I’m very proud of myself at this point for not reaching out and slapping him. I say “why wouldn’t you tell me that and leave me sitting here when you hopped to his order immediately?” Women, can we collectively say “we are absolutely done with this condescending & chauvinistic bullshit” Troy thinks if he does it with a nice tone and blames it on the rules, he can get away with it. Well I say, you picked the wrong woman! Oh but wait….he continues his passive aggressive comments across the bar and in front of other customers “is there a problem?” “I’m just doing my job” trying to make me look like I did something. Wow. Just wow. Either Troy needs to advance his manipulation game or realize that woman have evolved and don’t fall for this stuff anymore. I hope he gets fired. He should not be in the service industry or public for...
Read moreThis review is for your airport location. First of all, I am simply shocked and appalled that I just spent $74.00 dollars at this location to have drinks and brunch to get the worst service that I have had a very long time. Someone in your organization has got to know what kind of restaurant is being ran out here. The host looked as if he hadn't washed his clothes in weeks. His shirt was clearly a crusted result of DAYS of service and his pants looked as if he been rolling around on the ground in grease. On three occasions, he reached into the grease covered pockets to get the register key. Then, he proceeded to work to expedite orders, touching food and plates.
We proceeded to go ahead and order drinks and brunch. My husband ordered an old fashion which was really good but I ordered a mimosa that I wondered where the hell the mimosa was. The portion I received was one that someone would have received if they were doing a flight sample?? Come on here, if I pay almost 7 dollars for a mimosa that isn't on happy hour I would greatly appreciate my money's worth here. We went on to order brunch. I ordered the Americana and at the first appearance was good but my toast was cold and the consistency of rocks, so requested new toast. The server brought me my new toast out in his hands with band-aids all over his fingers. Band-aides!!! who does that? For the love of all there is in this world; what kind of establishment allows their servers on the floor to bring their patrons food with band-aides on their hands. There was no plate. He brought it out with his HANDS!! This is the absolutely one of the most unsanitary action that someone could perform right in front of the customer. So needless to say there went my appetite because the toast touched my other food.
Even after that we ordered coffee with a shot of baileys in it. I got a lipstick stained coffee cup. Once again I have to question the sanitary practices that this establishment is keeping here.
Most of the staff here either appeared as if they rolled out of bed - clothes and all or their clothing looked like they literally had not washed them in weeks. There were crusted doll-ups of jam on the host's shirt.
We spent $74.00 dollars here today!!! To not finish our food that we ordered. Someone from the management staff other than the one that is employed at the airport needs to contact me.
This is disgusting...
Read moreAustin deserves so much better. Wish I would have read the reviews before we ate here. We went here because it wasn't crowded on a busy day. Now I know why. We had an hour before boarding so there should have been no problem getting lunch. We were seated pretty quickly, but the hostess just handed us menus and didn't say a word. For the next 10 minutes she seated 3 more parties with no indication when someone would show up to take our order. When the bartender finally started taking orders, he did so in reverse order of how we were seated. When I called him over and said we were seated first, he got upset and said he's got the whole area and the bar and has no way to know who was seated first. I said "she knows" and pointed to the hostess who was standing less than 10 feet away. She again said nothing. He assured us that all our orders would be placed at the same time, but 2 of the 3 parties were finished eating before our food even arrived 40 minutes later. We now had 10 minutes to try to scarf down our food and get to the gate, so we asked for boxes. The servers here are rude, ignore you, and seem to be completely unaware that people have flights they need to catch. To make matters worse, the 3 meals cost us over $100. It's a shame because the food was actually good. Austin has such good food and service, hopefully this place will be replaced by a professionally run...
