Iāve been excited to try this place, after seeing it come up on Uber Eats a few times. The atmosphere was chill with the open indoor/outdoor dining areas. TVs going gave the sports bar vibe.
One lady behind the bar said hello, but she seemed frazzled and tired. We stood there a second and asked where we should sit and she said anywhere.
She quickly brought us two ice waters, and I thought this is going to be good service.
She gave us some paper menus since we werenāt too Jenn on scanning the digital menu. I was shoved at the pricing. Nearly $15 for one single burger and it doesnāt come with sides. We skipped getting any extra drinks due to the price. We wanted something cheap and mistakingly thought burgers and hot dogs would be a good choice. The sides were another $5 each so we opted to share one.
We saw the corn dog sliders with root beer batter and were eager to try them. The sausage was tasty, but the batter was nothing special.
I got western style bbq cheddar burger, and my husband got the Holy Aioli burger.
The menu advertises Hawaiian buns, so I assumed it was going to be a full bun that covered the burgers. Instead the buns are simply 4 actual Hawaiian rolls stuck together. Not cooked, buttered, or prepared. What is this place thinking? It felt like I went to a college kidās dorm for a burger. I hated that part of my burger. No care whatsoever in the bun.
Worst of all was my husbandās Holy Aioli burger. It tasted like half a container of salt was made into the meat. As an avid salt lover, I tasted my husbands burger and was going to trade him my bbq burger, but his was truly terrible. Thereās no way this is the actual recipe. The salt overwhelmed the āqualityā meat they boast about, as well as the cheese and mushrooms.
We ran out of water twice, despite being the only patrons there for the majority of the meal.
My husband only ate a tiny corn dog slider and onion rings.
The lady who had been helping else noticed the burger wasnāt eaten and said I hope it was everything we dreamed it to be. Based on that statement and lack of attention to the issue, we felt complaining wouldnāt have mattered, nor do we want to be those people.
We paid for our very overpriced burgers and vowed never to wonder about this place again.
I hope you have a better experience than we did, but please expect to overpay for overpriced...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was kicked out by the bartender because of my service dog. I tried to calmly explain to the man (bartender, African American) that itās against the law to kick out service animals and especially people for having a service animal, and they need to look in to their laws, yet he proudly smiled and announced āyeah okay, I understand, but we donāt allow any dogsā .. yeah, he clearly doesnāt understand. I repeated that āheās a service dog.ā and he said āyeah, we donāt allow those either, not service dogs, no dogs at all.ā I tried to explain that itās against the law to not allow service animals and that itās no different than telling me I canāt come in because I have a wheelchair or take medication (as simple of examples as I can possibly give for someone this untrained and uneducated regarding service dog rights) and this man still laughed and said again, āI understand but we donāt allow service dogs or any dogs,ā then stood there waiting for us to get up and leave. He wasnāt even going to bother calling a supervisor or asking someone for confirmation on his choice? This is discrimination. Iām appalled by the lack of basic knowledge here. He tops that off by smiling saying, āhe appreciates us and to have a great dayā while he watched us get up and leave.. what a joke. Itās absurd the lack of training here and the condescending way he went about this not even listening as I tried to give fair warning itās illegal. I have plenty of options to defend my rights here.. but first and foremost, somebody needs to retrain this guy. He should realize how silly that display of pure ignorance was and how embarrassing it is for the person with a disability to get kicked out in front of everyone. Iām not sure how many times a person has to state āitās illegalā to him to get him to understand that Iām just trying to educate YOU because some serious repercussions can come from you standing your ground on discriminating like this right now. He still didnāt care, still didnāt what to hear what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLOVE IT! High quality and extremely fresh ingredients.
The 1st two pics are the Mr. Miyagi. It had mayo, caramelized onions, teriyaki sauce, tempura crumbs, and wsabi furikake on Kings Hawaiian bread.
The two 2nd pics are the Pineapple Express which is a bacon wrapped frank, bouillonaise, sweet ginger glaze, pickled jalapeƱos, scallions, and crispy onions on Kings Hawaiian bread.
Last pic is chili cheese dof.
All were great!
The website states franks are 100% genetically tested black Angus beef, no nitrates/nitrites, or hormones, vegetarian fed cows.
And it shows. You can definitely taste the difference. It's no Sonic hot dog frank.
I will say even though both come with ALOT of ingredients don't expect a taste explosion. The flavors were subtle in both hot dogs. I still very surprisingly mainly tasted the bread and the frank.
Not a complaint at all. I love that bread, their franks are awesome, and absolutely every single ingredient tastes fresh.
Only thing I didn't like is there don't appear to be combos.
And the side of tator tots is $3.99! It "is" a huge serving but since I only get it as a side I'd rather have less tots for less money.
The hot dogs are $7.99 on their own which I think is fair because you get a ton of ingredients and a really high quality frank AND kings Hawaiian bread š.
Added bonus every staff member was great. The cashier was very nice, the bartender who I wasn't even standing near initiated conversation and offered me a drink while I waiting, and the woman walking around (seemed like a manager) also greeted and...
