El Asador Tacos & More — Restaurant in Austin

I came here as soon as I found out there was a new halal mexican restaurant in town! I have a high bar for Mexican food and Im glad to say this place exceeded my expectations! Their food was so authentic and there is an incredible variety they offer. We got nachos with cheese & jalapenos, chicken, beef and barbacao tacos. We got the beef fajit place with horchata and of course dessert with some flan. It was truly an enjoyable experience! The tacos were some of the best ones I had and all of us could not stop eating from the fajita plate. The flan was PERFECTION! The store is very spacious with plenty of inside seating available and there are benches as well for outside. There prices are pretty reasonable for everything you get. They have plenty of dessert options available which sadly I couldnt try it all lol but you wont go wrong with the flan! There is a parking lot so no need to worry about parking, i must warn though it is in a busy area so just be mindful of that. Cant wait to...

I recently had a takeout and was blown away by the exceptional food and service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles, and the place was very clean. The menu has a great authentic selection of dishes, and everything I ordered was perfectly cooked. Everything is Halal on the menu, so it's a win-win for people looking for authentic and halal Mexican cuisine. The standout dish for me was the Pirata tacos, bursting with flavor. The owner and the staff are super nice and down-to-earth people. Overall, the food is absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes...

Yummy tacos! Very reasonably priced and great service!

Everything is halal. This is the first Mexican-Halal joint I have seen in this city. We had the barbacoa, beef fajita and chicken fajita tacos. The fajitas were our favorite. Loved the green sauce.

They also had some ice cream which they let us sample. That was really nice.

Thankful for some options other than Mediterranean/ desi for my parents! This is a good sign that Austin is on its way to be a grown up city for foodies.
