The food was great (I had the vegetarian meal sampler) and the portion was nice and big. This is an unusual (I think? I'm not from Austin, just passing through, maybe you all have tons of Ethiopian places) and fun way to eat, they gave me a bunch of soft fluffy bread (think sort of along the lines of sheets of pancake for texture) to place the assorted vegetables in to eat. Nifty, and filling. I could not finish it because I was running late for my flight to begin with, and I hated having to throw some of it away. The people running the truck were friendly and happy to help explain the menu. Looked like he was having a good time doing it, which is nice, he clearly loves his work. Only negative is the parking situation. It's in a food truck park, and there were like or so parking spots, and the parking lot was a bit torn up. Pavement was rough. This is not something they have any control over. Price was good too, btw, especially considering how much food I got. Wish I could go back

I have eaten Ethiopian at two other places in town and Habesha grill is so, so good. I saw that this place had really good reviews so I stopped in and was excited to try this place. I’m very bummed to share it was in fact not good at all. I ordered the veggie combo with injera. Much of it was very bland and tasted out of a box. I wanted it to be good! But it was not. Would not recommend at all. Especially if you’ve eaten Habesha, you’re going to be let down coming here!!

This is a great option for outdoor dining, lots of open picnic tables in the sunshine, everyone wears masks and the food is so delicious! I had the lamb dish with gluten free injera, all the food was fresh and flavorful. You can choose to get in to go container, or if eating there be served on actual plates to cut down on waste. Staff was friendly and great service! The menu is large, many options to work through on future visits.

I've eaten at at least a half dozen Ethiopian restaurants, and the food at this trailer is definitely the best. We got the awaze and shekla - a dry beef dish that doesn't have a sauce. Both were good but the shekla was superb and the reason we sought out this vendor when we were in Austin recently even though they had changed locations since the last time we were there and it was over 100F - not exactly great weather for eating outside. The shekla had a perfect charred texture and stir fried flavor and is served with onions and fresh jalapeños. We also got the veggie offering which includes two kinds of lentils, greens, cabbage, and green beans all seasoned perfectly. We even ate the injera under each that was infused with the flavor. Can't...

I had a fantastic experience at the Ethiopian and Eritrean Food Trailer! The flavors of the dishes transported me to another world. Each bite was a delightful journey through authentic Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. The aroma of the spices and herbs was intoxicating. The food trailer's ambiance added a unique charm to the whole experience, making it even more memorable. The staff was friendly and passionate about the food they served, and their enthusiasm was contagious. The Ethiopian and Eritrean Food Trailer is a must-visit if you're a fan of bold and exotic flavors. I can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering dishes! Highly...
