WOW...what can I say?! This is a place both my dog and I have been waiting for. The coolest part about BARk House Social is that it does suit both humans and dogs, and here is why:
Human Perks An beautiful, indoor bar serving up some of the best cocktails I have ever had in Austin! Some of my faves include the Barkarita, Pisco Howler and the Coconute Canine. If you love frozen drinks, try the Guava Goodboy or the Mango Unleashed. You DO NOT need to have a dog to come to BARk House. If you are looking for a good Happy Hour, pre-game before going out or a place to chill over a drink, this place is for you! Dogs need to be leashed indoors so you can enjoy the bar environment without pups running around you. Foooood Trucks! My current faves, TruLuv ATX, who are serving up empanadas and more! And their new pizza truck, Captains Pizza. We all know how difficult it can be to make friends as adults and this place easily allows you to connect with others! What can I say...dogs bring people together!
Dog Perks A massive area for dogs to run and play off-leash! The turf is gorgeous and MADE for this type of environment. Your dog stays clean, even after going into the water area - which is the best for when your dog wants to cool off. The BARk Bouncers are there to help keep the park safe, keeping an eye on the dogs playing and running around. They are there to calm situations when dogs get the zoomies (hehe) and I just feel better about the safety and security of my pup! Speaking of safe and secure, I appreciate BARk House's polices on pups needing to be spayed, neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. This gives me peace of mind that my pup is in a healthy environment and that our dogs' health is top-of-mind for the owners.
If I could give them a 10 out of 5 starts I would, but 5 out of 5...
Read moreBark House Social is such a fantastic spot on the East Side of Austin! Itâs the perfect hangout where you can bring your furry friends to play while you enjoy some truly well-crafted cocktails. The space is brand new, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of room for pups to run around, both indoors and outdoors. They have designated play areas, making it a comfortable experience for both pets and their humans.
Parking is limited on-site, but theyâre surrounded by plenty of free street parking, which actually makes it super easy and accessible to swing by. Once inside, youâll find a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes it fun for everyone. The food truck on-site is absolutely amazing, and the cocktails pair perfectly with the vibe.
What really sets Bark House Social apart is the owners and staff. They are incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely caring, not just toward their members but also day-pass guests. You can tell they truly love building a community here.
Highly recommend checking it out, whether youâre a regular or just dropping in, itâs a place both you and your...
Read moreWe saw them building this place in our neighborhood, so were excited to finally try it out! Have never been to a bar where you have to pay for your dog; however, they keep staff in the yard to monitor and play with the dogs so it felt totally worth the cost. Everyone there is super friendly. Huge space. We went on a Sunday afternoon and vibes were very chill. One thing that we wish weâd known in advance - make sure to fill out a profile for your dog in advance! Was tricky to do there as we needed to track down vaccination reports we didnât have handy on our phones. Overall glad they have this requirement and I hope they enforce vaccine renewals bc we were with friends who mentioned they hadnât yet uploaded their dogs most recent rabies vaccine but they also hadnât been asked to do so even though the one on record was technically expired. All that said, this place is worth checking out, and we'd recommend! Parking lot is small - we got lucky to be able to squeeze in. Not sure what the backup parking situation is if the ~8 spots they...
