The service at this location has really tanked! I usually don’t write bad reviews because I like to give the company/workers etc the benefit of the doubt. But something has got to change! I knew better but decided I’d give this location another try. Ordering online was a breeze. The app itself is very well designed and super user friendly.
Now for the bad! Went into the location to pick up my meal after waiting for 45 minutes from placing my order. The store was not busy at all. There was one table of diners that had been there a while as they had finished their meals and were just chatting with one another. My order was not at the “To Go” orders shelf so I stepped up to the register to get an eta, no biggie right? Wrong! There were a total of 4 workers, the cook and 3 others just hanging out. 2 on Snapchat (they were talking about snap and posting), then other was just there. I waved at one he acknowledged me with a head nod so I thought he would come over. Apparently Snapchat was more important. I waited for a minute or so waved again. The same guy acknowledged with a nod. But did not budge! Then I spoke up with “can I get an eta on my order?” By this time I had been in the store for just over 10minutes. The guy that was sending me head nods looked irritated and asked the female worker “Ugh go so what he wants!” She came over and asked me how she could help when I told her I just wanted an eta on my order as it had now been over an hour. She looked at the order screen, saw my order and started making it. After an hour and 10minutes of my ordering. Now I’ve done my share of service work so I understand a long day, long shift or just not feeling it that day. I have live in my current house since 2020 and this seems to be an ongoing problem with this location! It has gotten so bad that I’ve started driving to the location near the domain which is 10miles away where as Tech Ridge is only 5ish. Please FreeBirds do something with the service provided at...
Read moreI ordered a burrito at 11:05 online for it to be processed and picked it up at 11:19 on a Friday. I did not verbally order it but I had it actually on paper in their system to be processed. To be noted, this is before lunch hour. It was a burrito with chicken, rice, beans and cheese. What it was supposed to be was a burrito with chicken, rice, beans, cheese, salsa, pico de gallo, habanero sauce and bar-b-q sauce as stated in the order description. This burrito is around $10 because it's a monster and it didn't come with any condiments, although I had stated that I wished for four condiments and none of them were put in the bag. A simmer of habanero sauce was added but that shouldn't be right because the customer should be the one to add it to their food. Every fast food establishment I've eaten whether it be Italian, Asian or Mexican food usually put condiments or add-ones to their side, regardless of asking or not. For the price you would expect at least a small cup of salsa. I could of gotten the same ingredients they put in the burrito at a different location for a much cheaper price. The employees they have working there at the cooking station in front aren't even wearing hairnets but beanies during the summer time. The sweat that is coming off from them will most likely go into the food they're making for people and/ or the cotton fabric from the material will contaminate the food. Not to mention, their hair is not even in the beanie but outside of it making it completely irrelevant to even wear it in the first place. Waste of time, gas and money to come down to the food establishment. I have worked at a Tex-Mex fast food establishment before and it is very unlikely for me to critique such behavior but this was really ridiculous. This is the first and last time I will ever order food from free bird since obviously they can't do their job, read simple directions, or have...
Read moreLost one star... Let me start with me and my boyfriend LOVE Freebirds, we go to this one all the time. I used to come to this location regularly with my family and friends as a kid/teen over the past 15 years since living here. Usually would leave a 5 star review, but this time was a little different. They recently renovated the store, and it’s definitely a good physical improvement. Looks like they got all new equipment in their kitchen which is great! The environment is super clean, but it was never dirty in the first place. Their pre-order Togo area is a new setup and looks very nice. They re painted and freshened everything up. Although It is a little sad it lost some of the classic old freebirds vibe, all the old decorations are gone. The reason I’m writing this is because the food wasn’t as hot as it used to be, burritos used to steam and the food used to taste fresh. We got our food for here and This time our burritos stoped being hot about five minutes into eating them. The food tasted a bit more bland then it used too and the rice and tortillas had a stale texture. Working in a restaurant I know it takes a while to find the right temperature with a new hot box like the bar they keep all the food on, so hopefully that temperature of the food will get better with time. We will definitely come back again, they just reopened the store after the renovation so hopefully they can fix the temperature of the food and teach the new staff, there were a lot of people who were new working, how to make the food properly. Overall we love freebirds and will come back! We were just a bit...
