Ease of online ordering 7/10: easy enough to order, but not all food is available to order online such as the sweet and sour vegetable soup (canh chua) or braised fish (can kho). Sadly this was the only positive part of my experience. A pickup estimation was provided for 15-30 minutes.

Check in process 0/10: The area is small, and there isn't really any way to figure out how to check in/pick up an order/wait to be seated. And there was no one at the podium to ask, though at least three different employees did walk past me and avoid eye contact.

Customer service 0/10: when someone finally came over, they ignored me and sat down a couple of people waiting off to the side. They never came back. A few minutes later, I was able to make eye contact with someone bussing tables and they came over. I let them know I placed an order online for pickup, and that it should be done as it had been about 40 minutes. They took a glance at the table with orders and didn't find mine, and with no other context told me it would be another 15-20 minutes. They didn't even make an attempt to check the kitchen. At that point I asked to just cancel my order because I highly doubted I was going to see my food anytime soon.

Food quality: unknown, I never got my food.

COVID protocols 0/10: as I was waiting, I was able to observe the restaurant and I can confidently say I won't be back. There is absolutely no distancing at tables, and they were jam packed next to each other. Staff do not wear masks, and often helped multiple tables at once (bring out food, drop off bill, collect payment, etc) with zero hand washing or sanitation between.

Overall 0/10: I consider it a blessing that my food wasn't ready and that I could cancel my order. I guess because they are seeing success with their questionable practices my guess is they won't be motivated to make changes anytime soon. Maybe their food is great (but more likely there just aren't other options) but all I know is that no food is worth the disrespect and safety concerns I...

So, actually I don't wanna complain but I'm still feel angry so I think I need to write something. I came with my family and have some food for lunch. We didn't feel welcome and met struggle with asking for some stuff. Staff there were having fun together and I know it's ok in work environment but customers are needing help. Food is different from the last time we visited there. The amount is less and quality is not good as before. I ate just a bit and couldn't stand anymore. And then, we didn't ask about paying yet, but they came and gave us the receipt as if they wanted us to leave asap. They also almost forgot one dish that we ordered and I had to remind them about that (it's not busy at that time) And the worst scenario is the TIP: this is the very first time I had a BAD experience there. So I knew I tipped a quite small amount comparing to the money I had to pay for the lunch. Becaue I wasn't not satisfied with the hospitality and the dishes there so I decided to tip that much. There're nothing tip requirement on the receipt that we must tip 10%,15% or 20%. Doesn't that mean we can tip whatever we want or even no tip because of each one's experiences? So after I wrote the tip, the lady waitress came to us and talked out loud that I paid that amount for the dinner but how could I tip like that? And honestly she made me ashamed before my family. I didn't want them to know about the price of lunch so she "destroyed my plan", and she could use another way to remind me more politely like "Can you look at your tip again?" or sthing like that. I felt so bad and never came back again. I don't know what am I wrong? I never seen any restaurant ask for more tip like that. Once again, this lady waitress's attitude was unpolitely at this situation. I couldn't get it and didn't want to eat...

First of all, I want to say Bep Siagon is the “b e s t” Pan Asian restaurant I have “ever” been to. They are clean, efficient, accommodating & caring. Bep is by FAR better than any other Asian restaurant in the vicinity…….”or” the world.

My most favorite meal is the broccoli w/ brown sauce. (U can add tofu) Their broccoli is “”always”” fresh (“never” frozen & expertly sautéed). Actually, “all” their dishes are w o r l d class outstanding. The only thing I wish they would change is their pricing. They are “extremely” expensive. But I was thinking if “more” people “went” there, they could afford to charge less for their food. B/c look……it doesn’t matter if you’re wealthy. Rich people just don’t like feeling like they’re being ripped off. They just don’t. Wealthy people manage their $ very well. They “know” where they shouldn’t spend their $.

Broccoli (my favorite meal, there) has just as much nutrition as any “meat” “”&”“ prevents” numerous diseases…….especially “cancer”.

ONE more thing. If you go there for their delicious food, PLEASE order plant based. B/c I guarantee you the animals don’t want to be slaughtered & end up on your dinner plate.

If you’re plant based, order the dinner portion. You get more food & don’t have to worry about not eating the non vegan side dishes that come with it.

Soooooo go to Bep Saigon as many times as...

Has been here a few times but yesterday should be the last. Manager should work on how to handle issue and train their staff accordingly. My family and my friend came here for dinner, me and my wife ordered Bun Rieu which is my favorite one in this restaurant. My wife bowl has Pho noodle instead of Bun Rieu noodle. My wife told the lady and she also agreed on that and took the bowl back to the kitchen for replacement even though I told her it’s ok this time. Then it came out differently. The chef refused to replace it and said he did it correctly, two bowls at once, no way to be wrong….I had to eat that bowl for my wife and she ate mine. We talked a lot about that while eating, the taste is no longer good coz disappointment and feeling like a liar. When I had almost finished the bowl the lady came and apologized since they realized their fault, also offered to replace. I had almost finished so I said ‘It’s ok, thanks’. The other customer who ordered Pho has a Bun Rieu noodle which they replaced LOL. They ended up compensating me a free bowl but it doesn’t worth it. I ate the whole bowl in bitterness already so it was too late. I don’t need any compensation, they should have admitted their fault at the beginning and this would cost them nothing. They should treat their customers better

came here for graduation celebration and was pleasantly surprised ! my family wanted to splurge a bit, so we got most of their specials: canh chua, shaken beef, vietnamese crepes, crab, hu tieu ap chao, pho dac biet, and I'm sure a couple others I'm blanking on now - the canh chua was probably my favorite and pho was probably my least favorite (lacked flavor and think there are better options), viet crepes were good but pretty heavy on the bean sprouts, shaken beef was very tende and juicy, crab was yummy but the breading was a touch too salty (my brother loved it tho) but pairs well with rice, hu tieu was very good (these are the little crispy squares, NOT the long pan fried noodles). they also serve a big plate with lettuce and mint which I really appreciated. I also got their viet coffee which was extremely creamy and delicious. overall I really enjoyed my experience here; newly graduated and haven't spent much time in this area, so will definitely be returning ! saving the last star for next time (:

Edit : I went back yesterday with my husband and we tried new dishes : salt and pepper calamari, Bò kho and hủ tiếu ấp chảo. It feels like the menu has variety but each item has very mild flavor. We were both disappointed : the beef stew was very bland, the flavors lacked depth. And on top of it, I got sick... The waitresses are really kind but due to the lack of quality in the food, I will not be coming back. Nice Vietnamese place with special items on the menu : bánh xéo,thịt kho, canh chua, bánh khot.. If you are looking for original dishes, you will find a good selection here. Other than that, they have the classic pho, but also other soups like Bún bò Huế, bún riêu... The reason I gave 4 stars is because they have Chinese items on the menu, which takes away from the authenticity of the place. And their nước mắm (dipping sauce) was a little too sweet for my taste. Service was good too,the 2 aunties were friendly and chatty. We will be back!
