Have you ever had a dining experience so horrible that you were left with no other option than to create an account to leave a negative review? If you would like a once in a lifetime opportunity such as this then please visit Fujian Grand China Buffet. Driving into Austin Texas, I saw that this buffet had a relatively high rating and it was not far from the hotel in which I was staying. This seemed like the best option given the circumstances and I was starving after a full day of being on the road. Upon pulling up to the restaurant I was surprised at the high volume of cars that were outside. In hindsight they were probably owned by the 400 high school drop out employees who seemed to sustain themselves off of the look of disappointment that each and every customer shared. While sitting down on a sticky chair, staring at the water ring left by the pervious patron, I knew that I had made a grave mistake. That moment was turned out to be the highlight of my trip. After taking a bite of every luke-warm dish that looked appealing, after spitting food out into a napkin, after my first and only bite of cold rice, I decided that this was simply not worth $14. However, seeing as you paid in order to be seated it was much too late. I chose to stick to their shriveled sushi options in order to get my moneys worth. Upon sitting down with my new plate, and not enjoying even the first piece I figured I needed at least some soy sauce to go with my rubber meal. Thanks to the forward thinking waitress who knew that both every customer was finished with the condiments that were initially on every table and that three hours before close was a great time to start on closing tasks, there appeared to be none in sight. This gave me a great opportunity to walk around the ârestaurantâ and admire the wonderful cleaning job they did on their first day of business. Fifteen minutes into this dining experience I found myself staring at a wall wondering how I got to this place in life, clearly my life plans were flawed and I needed to reevaluate my priorities. Thankfully I was jolted out of my stupor by the calming feeling of nausea. After leaving this establishment I went to the hotel and fell asleep. Upon awaking I decided it was best to leave this chapter of my life behind and never visit Austin again. I have heard it is a great city, but I donât have the will to face this prison cafeteria again and recall the horrors that I...
Read moreI came in with my wife my daughter which is 11 and my youngest daughter which is 7 and my baby and we were charged $78 up front as soon as I walk in the door didn't even get a chance to get a table yet or anything other than telling them what I wanted to drink. Then once we go sit down to eat our food the main reason I wanted to come here is because I wanted to try the hibachi grill which is called a little something a little different here but same idea and I tell you what the food took forever to come out and when it finally did it was completely burned I mean way overcooked the worst experience I've ever had so I decided to not eat the rest of my food went to go get a regular plate of the buffet and literally everything was at almost room temperature not even exaggerating so disappointed it's not even funny I will never visit this place over again and I didn't understand it because there was a lot of other customers there that were just eating away at their food and joining it like as if it wasn't a thing and I don't know if that's the normal quality of food around here or something and people are used to it but so disappointed! Way overcharged for damn near room temperature food and then on top of that the waitress was standing next to us the whole time making us feel uncomfortable and wouldn't give us a refill for a drink unless we ask for it and then seem to disappointed whenever we weren't offering up a tip at the end of our meal?!? After being overcharged and served overcooked and under temp food and having to be asking for refills repetitively?? Do not recommend for anybody that is new coming like us! (UPDATE) OH MY GOSH OOK AT THERE APOLOGIES!?!?!? TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THEY APOLOGIZE TO ME AND CANT EVEN GET MY NAME RIGHT???? WOW!!!!!!! THEY SAID SORRY...
Read moreI came here druing lunch on Friday. First impression of the entrance was that it seemed sheltered/closed off. Not very welcoming. Nevertheless, I came in expecting a nice buffet with friendly service. Wrong. I came in, no greeting. The woman at the front said "Water or Soda?". Went for the water. Okay. I found a table in the back corner and was sitting down my things. "Ticket?" I turn around to find a woman right next to me. "I'm sorry?" I said. "Ticket," she replied. I handed her my receipt and she walked off. Okay. Went to go get some food. Looked dry (was dry) looked barley warm (was barely warm). Not the best food but decent overall. 15 dollars for a buffet? Can't complain too much. I sat down to eat my food and noticed the host was greeting people with actual effort. Maybe I was mistaken. I continued eating and the host was very attentive to people who were moving back and forth between the buffet. Taking their plates, offering refils, asking how they're doing, etc. I got none of that hospitality. The only time my table was attended to is when I left. I don't want to jump to the conclusion that they may be discriminatory; but I was the only black person in the resturant, the only one without a refill, the only one not greeted, and the only one not checked up on. I could surly be wrong, but it's a feeling I've known for a while growing up in the south. Overall I don't think I would recommend this resturant. There's much better 6 minutes up the street. It's not suprising this place is mostly empty, during lunch,...
