Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea was good. Usually like to get their OG milk tea or Earl Grey with 3J's. Their limited edition Strawberry Crystal boba was pretty good, like it more than the regular crystal boba. Their passionfruit smoothie is delicious, but since it's a syrup, you can't adjust sweetness, so it becomes too much after a while. Gong cha is my 3rd - 4th goto choice in boba chains for Austin currently. I do like that they offer the bubble waffle here and they have a version with boba in it that's pretty good. Service is hit or miss as they seem to only hire students and I've witnessed some unprofessionalism here and there. I've been to Gong Cha 3 times within half a year where they've ran out of boba, particularly within the last hour of being open. Since I'm specifically there for boba, I've had to walk out from a wasted trip, so it's definitely deterred me from coming back. Luckily Share Tea is nearby now.

I'm glad that finally this famous bubble tea chain opened in Austin. I love their premium bubble tea - especially the boba and the jelly and pudding add-ons. Love the range and variety they offer. The place is clean and they even have nice tea sets for sale. The service time is fast and they do have a bunch of games to play as well with a group. Ample amount of seating is available. Their offerings include brew series, coffee series but what separates them from other places are their foam versions and the amazing spiced versions - definitely give em a try. You won't be tired of the variety and I'm glad that they are finally in Austin, I didn't have to travel to NY unlike last time. Highly recommended. This is right next to Xi'an noodles and ample parking in the complex.

It was just ok for me. The pearls were way overcooked and too mushy. I really hope they weren’t just sitting there too long. We ordered just mango green tea which was made right with less ice and 50 less sugar. The peach slush was made with 50% less sweet but came out still very sweet. And the crème brûlée milk tea was made right too. We ordered the bubble waffle it was abit crispy on the outside which I liked but was abit undercooked inside. The price of the drinks and toppings I feel have gone up. Kinda not worth it anymore when you’re not fully satisfied with your drink. 3 drinks and a bubble waffle came up to almost $30. Don’t think I’ll be back.

My most favorite boba shop. I've tried multiple different places, thinking I found the best, but my boyfriend bought me Gong Cha as a surprise about a year ago and no other place can compare!

The boba pearls are made fresh every 4 hours and taste incredible.

*Heads up: they don't use "fresh" fruits, if thats what you're looking for. The flavors are either in syrup or powder form, but they are fresh, delicious, and vegetarian! :) Strawberry, grapefruit, and mango are the only flavors that come in a pulp.

The milk teas are not made with milk, but instead a PCP powder, and if you're lactose intolerant, you can request a tea latte (pure tea with selection) and sub in almond milk or soy milk!

They also have alternative sugars like Splenda and Stevia, and are glad to answer any questions you may have.

They have board games like chess, Uno, and charades for those dining in, and a whiteboard to personalize your experience!

If you'd like to try toppings just ask, and they'll get it into a sample cup for you to enjoy; I love the heart jellies the most! :)

Overall, they are the most friendly and helpful establishment I've ever gone to, and I love just hanging out there and chatting with the...

Boba tea is a recent discovery for me, and I've enjoyed sampling various shops around town. This last week, my brother and I tried Gong Cha for the first time.

The staff was great answering my questions and I was impressed by how quickly they stopped socializing with each other to make our drinks (even as we were finalizing the sale).

My brother enjoyed how strong the caramel flavor was in his Caramel Milk Tea -- especially compared to a similar drink at another shop -- but prefers his boba pearls a little larger.

My drink was a Brown Sugar Milk Tea at 50% sweetness and I would get it again (maybe trying 25% next time). The pearls were a little smaller than some others we've tried. If you're not sure how you feel about chewing as part of your drink, it would probably be perfect for you as the smaller size doesn't create such a contrast.

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is price. We both got the smaller drink size, but it cost about the same as a larger, standard size boba tea would at another shop. Wouldn't keep me from visiting...

It is a ok place just a little price. Drink are too small for the price. The cup is tall and skin. This give people a illusion that the drink is big but is not.

It was better the 1st time we went there. I guess we went there when they opened and the owner was there so everyone was nice and happy.

The last time we went the drink do not taste as good as the 1st time.

It taste more sugar than anything else.

The people working there was chatting too much as the line was getting bigger and bigger.

They was slow and taking their time.

The 1st time around the grand opening we went there and they staff was nice and very provisional.

Not to mention that some have their hair not tie and other a huge nails. So disgusting that they have no hiegine and no one there to tell them you working with food have some respect.

Maybe they will change after this review. Like many other reviewers say service ...
