We chose Homewood Suites for our Spring Break/Mini Vacay! Nice location!! Jeremiah greeted us when we arrived!! He definitely stands out and deserves recognition!! :) We happened to arrive the day they were having an evening social, that was rather nice! Our suite was clean and fresh smelling, however the room could use some extra attention to the dust behind the nightstand and TV console’s, other than that the room was considerably clean. The pool was nice and warm on our first evening.. very Nice!! The pillows were not that great but he bed was comfortable… lack of rest due to pillows. :/
The next morning we went down to have breakfast, the staff on that day (March 9, 2022) was very pleasant and attentive to everyone’s needs… the Lady and Gentleman were very cordial and just AWESOME!! After a fun filled day we decided to end our evening with some pool time, unfortunately, the pool temperature was not heated, after going to the front desk, we were told they were having problems with it that day. :/
On our checkout day (the next day March 10) we went to enjoy some breakfast to start our day.. Sadly, the staff was different (one lady, the one that was on staff for the social when we first arrived at Homewood Suites) she did say Good Morning but totally different than the evening of March 8th.. we proceeded to enjoy our breakfast, then we went to make a couple of plates to take up to our room for our boys and there wasn’t any omelettes left, so I asked the lady and she said, there aren’t anymore, we stop putting food out at 9:15 AM so we don’t have leftovers, then she comes out with a container and starts putting leftover sausage in it, it wasn’t even 9:15 or “9:30” (the time it actually ends), people were still coming in to get themselves some breakfast, only to find hardly anything available. I did manage to get our boys a couple of muffins and a couple of pieces of sausage.. the last morning was totally different than the first morning. The staff per day truly makes a huge difference!! Jeremiah and the breakfast staff on March 9th made an AWESOME impact on our stay with Homewood Suites by...
Read moreVery rude and unwelcoming front desk at nights, Bad experience, (Jeremiah was the front desk) Unfortunately, from the first night the front desk seemed unhappy of our presence at that hotel. I am an honorable guest of Homewood Suits but I think I will switch to another brand name. We arrived at 9:58pm on 4/28/2025 as our second night stay. Half of our party went in and I stayed behind the entrance with both hands full wondering why the doors are closed. The sign as I uploaded the photos says after 11pm you need to knock or use your own keys. It was still 10pm, the front desk was a guy saw me twice, I knocked, he ignored me. I tried to find the key card but my hands were full so I knocked again and he ignored me for the second time!!!! and the time I knocked hard on the door he opened the door and said the signs are wrong and they are willing to shut the doors at 10pm with no notice!!! Apparently, he enjoys ignoring guests behind the door!!!!!! He could easily check in with me at the first sight that he saw me behind the door with my hands full without ignoring me and without asking the guests to guess what time they wanna shut the door. I assumed his manner as a discriminatory one!!I could not understand why he is so rude and aggressive towards the hotel guests???! On First night I asked for an extra pillow and he simply denied!! And mentioned that sofa bed has elevated top bed and use it as pillow? What a new invention!!! Who sleeps on an elevated bed??!! I hated that rude, disrespectful and discriminatory manner towards me. I appreciate if I have a clear explanation from the manager of the hotel. Please correct the sign rather disrespecting the hotel guests and provide some training courses for front desk staff to learn how to respect and welcome the guests especially in a business that needs happy customers to...
Read moreMiserable staff ruin what has the potential to be a great location. Management should be ashamed of their treatment of guests. Do not stay here unless you’d like to have your prepaid reservation cancelled before you arrive, then be harassed repeatedly because the manager has his own serious personal issues. Would give 0 stars if it was an option. This place is a disgrace to the Hilton brand.
See their response to my review as an example of the harassment you can expect here. If what they claim is true, we would not have be silver status members at Hilton, not to mention globalists with Hyatt and lifetime gold elite with Marriott. We travel all over the country and my other reviews are positive for places we don’t want others to miss. We would not be able to travel anywhere if we smoked in hotel rooms in 2023. They have no proof of their claim and refused to even reasonably discuss their outlandish accusations.
Threats and intimidation are the way this hotel does business. Some of their nicer staff apologized for their atrocious behavior towards us as admission of how awful management treats guests here. Other guests were astonished by the way we were treated. We are not the first and won’t be the last to be robbed of our workday because some people are having personal issues they’d like to take out on well-paying guests. They took our money for two weeks and have been trying to get rid of us since before we arrived. We have never encountered anything like we did at this hotel.
Do yourself a favor and stay at Hyatt or Marriott when in the Austin area. Unfortunately, many owners may own multiple hotels from the same chain in the same region and the manager shares the names of the owner group, so best to stay clear of Hiltons...
