I never write one star reviews. This came VERY close.
Three times now I have come to this JTB hoping the lights will be on and someone will be working. The drive through speaker has a papered over sign to order at the first window. There are additional paper signs at said first window saying to order here, but there is no staff there. I know there are workers here as I just saw one take out the trash. But I have now seen car after car leave unsatisfied after long waits in the drive through, the length of which appears tied more to the patience of the driver in front of you as no one appears to be getting served. After almost half an hour in the lane on my third visit this week I finally see the person in front of me get a transaction through. Progress! Will I finally get to order? Another ten minutes elapse. I start to worry about my gas gauge even though there is literally a Shell station on the other side of this restaurant. At last food is exchanged and I’m up. My order is simple, a double Jack combo with curly fries and unsweetened tea. The young lady staffer looks relieved, as if I’d managed to find a combo she didn’t have to worry about.
Her compatriot openly utters a swear word in awe of the line that has formed behind me. I would too, I don’t blame him. Thanks to the busted speaker, the staff has no warning and no recourse.
We are trapped here in this limbo, to be released at the whims of the fast food deities.
I am fortunate, they have my food ready to go, but the elapsed time has been 28 minutes since pulling in. I consider myself fortunate as I’ve actually gotten my food this time.
Something is seriously wrong with this location and you’re going to need more than a few surveys to right this ship. There are other JTB locations in Austin that are getting it absolutely right and perhaps the company should look into why this one consistently can’t keep up with even the relatively low demand of this neighborhood. I can’t imagine getting away with this closer to a freeway. Or honestly even here.
Yikes, Jack. Please help these folks...
Read moreI went to this location around 1am on Dec 20th. I was on my lunch break. I waited 10 mins before my order was even taken. I was asked to pull up to the first window I waited another 10 mins before they took my money. Seemed like there was only one lady working . She seemed to be working both windows. I was mad at first then calmed down thinking she was doing all she could. After the took my money, I waited another 30 mins at the second window for my food. As I waited I could see a male employee leaning against a table or grill texting on his phone and not lifting his finger to help the young lady. This infuriated me. I noticed he was standing there on his phone for almost 20 mins. After I got my food, I asked the young lady if she was the only one working. She said no and gestured towards the guy. I asked to talk to the manager and she told me she was the manager. I told her it doesn't look good that there was a long wait while the other employee looked like he didn't care. She said she told him to get off his phone and help but he refused. She says she called the GM to report him. I don't know if anything ever happened to this employee, but this is a poorly ran restaurant. This is not an isolated incident as I have heard from many of my co workers who refused to go there because of the poor service. I would have left but the drive thru is single lane and there were cars behind me. I tell everyone that ask for recommendations where to eat to avoid this location. It's a shame because I really like Jack in the Box. I haven't been...
Read moreWorst experience/service I've ever seen at this Jack in the Box. It started with have trouble getting the guy taking the order to get it correct, then the fountain drink machine in the dinning area was out of coke products as well as others and it was like pulling teeth trying to get someone behind the counter to just help fill my drink, next it took 19 mins. to get the order and it was over cooked. I was going to say something to whom ever was in charge, but decided that it would just fall on deaf ears, after noticing that I wasn't the only one having issues, there were 3 other customers that were there long before I got there that still hadn't received their orders even after I finished eating mine, plus the whole time I was there I kept noticing people that just went through the drive thru coming in with their bags, because something was wrong with their orders. I usually don't like saying someone should be fired, mostly during the holidays, but in this case the manager of these employees definitely should be let go for allowing this to happen and the staff needs to be retrained if not let go as well. I know after my experience it will be a long time before I go back to this location and I imagine that at least half of the other customers that visited this location during this time (6:00 - 6:30pm 12/2/2018) will be...
