Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Austin

I picked up food from this location last night and I have to say, as a regular customer picking up an order of $40+ dollars and a tip of $10, I would really appreciate some kind of general simple friendliness. It was actually shocking to me how rude the manager and staff member at the computer were when I picked up my to-go order . Particularly the manager woman. Rolling her eyes, wouldn’t even say hello to me and was just very rude. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwanted at the establishment. I’ve never had this experience at Jasons in my life and I’ve even worked there myself in Atlanta long ago and have been a customer for 20+ years.

Even after I specifically requested to tip on my order (even though it was all bagged up and I didn’t need to sign anything) the woman/women were so rude! Like I was completely inconveniencing them by trying to give them an additional tip. I have no idea why. Honestly if I was a owner of that Jason’s, I would check the cameras and see this customer interaction and discuss with your management staff because my experience (and for others that will read this review) will think twice before ordering from this location again. It was an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. It’s a shame because I like Jasons but that kind of behavior does not fly for me

Jason's Deli is always a consistent place to eat salad soup or sandwich. They have a nice salad bar with a lot of vegetation and fun toppings and also a breads nuts and fried onions section. Their sandwiches are well constructed and make a nice meal. The people that work here tend to be pretty friendly and seem like they're fairly happy to be there also which is a very nice thing. They also have a good selection of well made soups that don't usually disappoint. The biggest thing I can say about Jason's is it is very consistent with its quality and it is a nice place to go grab a lunch where you can make some healthy choices and still enjoy yourself. I've eaten here many many times and would have to say that I've never had a bad experience. One other thing that's quite nice about this, if you have a sweet tooth that is, they have free soft serve ice cream and cones with your meal purchase which is pretty famous with a lot of people. I have some friends who kind of live for the ice cream part of this journey! Anyway a very solid choice and great value for the money and...

Food- 1.5, My first time here, and boy was it good ! I got the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich. The toasted bread giving it a perfect crunch was the cherry on top for me

Wait- 1, I went during lunch, and minus my indecisiveness actually didn't wait very long.

Service- 1, cashier wasn't real friendly but not rude either almost like a robot ? If you can imagine one taking your order and just staring back at you.

Price- .5, I paid 13 and change for not to big a meal. The sandwich wasnt full enough I believe but it did come with blue chips and salsa. I asked her just the sandwich and she still asked me for my drink, and didn't even mention chips and salsa. Maybe it said it on the menu , but I honestly felt so awkward with her robtish demeanor I didn't care to read it. So idk if you can get just the sandwich. I'd imagine 10 making chips and salsa 3 which is still pricey for only the sandwich. What do I know :) still a...
