During our recent family visit from Chicago to Austin, TX, we had the pleasure of having lunch at Juicy Claws Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! My nephew, who is a huge seafood enthusiast, was particularly excited about our visit, and Juicy Claws did not disappoint.

The food quality was exceptional. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the succulent lobster to the delicious crawfish and very fresh clams, every bite was a testament to the high standards of the restaurant.

Additionally, the staff at Juicy Claws were incredibly nice and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

The environment of the restaurant was very open and inviting. It had a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that made us feel comfortable and at ease. It was the perfect setting for our family gathering.

I recently visited Juicy Claw and was blown away — this place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves bold, flavorful seafood with a creative twist.

The Grilled Jumbo Squid was perfectly charred and tender — not chewy like you’d expect elsewhere. The seafood fried rice was packed with fresh ingredients and full of umami. I also tried their lobster garlic noodles — incredibly rich, garlicky, and indulgent — a total must-try.

One of the standout dishes was the steamed clams with lemongrass. The clams were incredibly fresh, and the broth was packed with flavor — fragrant, savory, and perfectly balanced. It was so good I ended up drinking every last drop of it.

And if you're into bold flavors, don’t skip the five-spice grilled wild boar. It had the perfect balance of smokiness and spice — tender and deliciously different.

Service was very slow and restaurant was not crowded. We started off ordering drinks and while my drink came right away, my husband's cocktail wasn't brought to the table for another 15 minutes. By then, both our appetizers had already arrived. The fried calamari was ok. The heavy breading overpowered the calamari and was the only thing you could taste. It did not help that the breading wasn't seasoned. The egg rolls were good with the sweet and sour cocktail sauce. They had run out of the seafood salsa and chips. I ordered the fried shrimp po boy and my husband ordered the seafood boil for 1. This time, his food came out, and I sat around waiting for my Po Boy. When she came back 15 minutes later to check on us, I let her know I was waiting on the Po Boy. She brought it to me shortly after asking. It's a good thing neither one of us wanted another drink because our waitress never came back to ask. We needed to get up to ask the waitress for our bill.
