Justin Carter is the WORSE MANAGER in my opinion, so RUDE! my rights as a human being violate, and I’ve been discriminated, I can’t find any other reason why he did what he did…I was shopping at 13804 N US 183 I ask Jenifer Hartz (manager assistant ) about an Alfa shelf that I need it to buy, she said that she was going to put it in the front, I was going to pay, then she asked me if I was going to continue shopping and I said yes, so she said to continue to shop, and that she would put a note on the computer monitor for the cashier to know, not to sell it, turned around for maybe 2 minutes, then I started to pull the shelf and Jenifer said; let me bring a cart, but while I was waiting for her and Justin to bring it to the cash register, a lady got in line and started to pay for it, at that moment I I tried to explain to the cashier that I was the one buying it, but Justin said that it was no holds, whoever pays first, Jenifer explained to Justin and continued to say that it was her mistake, she continued to apologize. also, explain to the other buyer what happened, she wanted make it right, she even asked the lady ( buyer) if she mind to let me have it bc she put a note in the monitor for the cashier to see and I was going to pay, she replied; that she wanted it, but she understood, then Justin was very rude and said that he was not going to change anything, she bought it and that’s it, he took it to the back to hold it for her bc she had small car... I’m Very, Very disappointed on the way this was handled, the way I was treated, I’m sure that if I was white I definitely would be treated differently. How is he a manager? This item was very important to me, bc my brother had stroke back on February, I had to close my small shop to help my brother and now I’m starting all over, but I don’t have money to buy full price. Anyway, I don’t think anybody cares, but I wonder how many costumers had this experience? At the end, I did tell him how I felt about his costumer kills, he smiled sarcastic and said; thanks...
Read moreFor a place focusing on human kindness and help, none of that comes through at this store. We came in trying to find furniture after a really horrible mold outbreak that we lost everything to. In addition to unreasonably high price tags on broken furniture covered in dirt and actual bugs squashed into the cushions, we were caught up in looking at everything and accidentally wandered into the employees only section (which is a huge entrance btw), a lady told us we were in the wrong area. We apologized and turned around to leave and return to shopping. As we were actively leaving the area another employee/volunteer started running up to us angrily waving his arms and yelling for us to get out like we were some sort of wild criminals. We tried to explain we got confused and were trying to leave, but he kept going on and on about how stupid we were for missing the propped up sign that was in the far corner of the garage-sized entrance surrounded by other furniture. After that we didn’t bother shopping anymore and immediately left.
Look, you don’t ever know what the other person is going through, and we were really struggling and just didn’t need the extra layer of jerk slapped ontop of that. Thanks for making an already hard time in our life a little extra unpleasant. We will be searching other...
Read moreTried to make a donation of a working dishwasher, washer/dryer, leather couch, matching coffee table/ end tables and bunch of other materials. Also had a bunch of flattened cardboard boxes that I spent some time getting ready for them. I literally spent a few hours sorting junk/ sellable material that I had in boxes in my backseat that we didn’t even get to.
When one of the guys walked out and saw how much stuff I had loaded in my trailer he greeted me with “god damnit!”… I asked if they would rather me just take it to the dump and the other guy said “yes, thank you” and tried to give me a fist bump.
I know it’s hot in Texas and all but I spent a good bit of time getting all this stuff ready to bring by and donate. I used to be a donation coordinator for Habitat so I have a good idea as to what type of stuff is useful/valuable/accepted to the organization. These guys were so lazy they didn’t even want me to unload my cardboard for the compactor, they just wanted me to go away so they didn’t have to do anymore work.
If I was closer to the south location or felt comfortable driving my loaded trailer that far, I would’ve much rather gone and tried to work with Leslie.
I won’t be supporting the North...
