Austin City Gift Baskets — Local services in Austin

Update to my review: As you can see from my original post below, I was really excited about my initial experience with Austin City Gift Baskets, however they dropped the ball with execution. Despite ordering my mother's day gift baskets back in April, neither one was delivered on time. The one that was supposed to be sent to Iowa wasn't even shipped until the day it was supposed to arrive. What's more upsetting is that I was told that it would arrive in a day or two, but when I finally got the tracking information from UPS, it shows that it will be arriving several days later than mother's day and 5 days later than the delivery date I requested.

What's also frustrating is that I spent a lot of time choosing baskets because I really wanted to make sure that people got items that they really liked (as I stated on the phone with Adrian and in my review below) but that didn't even happen. For example, I chose the iconic gift basket because it had the Kerby Lane pancake mix and several types of chocolate that she really likes, and then made a couple of changes. However, when she finally got the basket, it didn't have the pancake mix or most of the chocolates. I appreciate that Adrian threw in a couple of extra things because the delivery did not show up on time, but he didn't mention that i wouldn't be getting what I ordered on top of that.

I'm really bummed with how this all turned out. I think if you want a generic gift that you don't need by a certain date, this could be a really good option as a gift. I talked to Adrian several times throughout this process, and I think he had the best of intentions. But in the end, a lot of what he said turned out to not be true, so in some ways it feels like it would be easier to just go to the store to get the items and mail it myself so I at least know what I'm buying and when it's arriving!

Customer Service is not just about delivering as expected, but how a company responds to an issue. We received pancake mix instead of coffee in a gift basket for our office.
