Well we love Krispy Kreme donuts but this experience has changed our minds....we live in NE Texas Tyler area so we r over a 100 miles from the nearest location....had came down to Austin area for the weekend & decideded to get a couple of dozen glazed as we were leaving town & heading back home....saw where there assembly line had miles of hot donut holes on it so we asked guy behind counter to get a dozen donut holes and we're told that all those were for Walmart & convient store orders and it would disrupt the orders....really? 12 donut holes would completely throw off this...he asked his mgr and we heard no! Well alrighty then, so they had no glazed so we asked if we could get 12 glazed and they said no, not til 6pm if we wanted to wait....its 2pm, that's 4 hours away...lol...so they really didn't seem to care if we wanted anything or about customer satisfaction and it was obvious cause the several people b4 us had left out irritated as well...so we decided to leave out without anything because politeness & customer satisfaction is one thing that matters most to a paying customer.....product is only as good as it's people and well we won't be getting these donuts anymore when we r in these cities due to rude service at this location on Research Blvd in Austin.....I understand each time in the past, they would give away hot ones while waiting and that's cool....but the message they sent to us and other customers were big business' such as Walmart are more important than the lil man even when it comes to donut holes...not like we were wanting a free handout, just an appreciative attitude....so leaving area now to find a Shipley's Donuts, Dunkin Donuts, or a Gordough's.... definitely know they r about customer service.....unlike this Krispy Kreme @ on Research Blvd. in northern Austin area....somethings matter more than...
Read moreHey. Yall. I may not know how hard it is to work at a donut shop, but I can’t imagine it warrants this behavior. I walk in to this store, ready for the Klassic Krispy Kreme Experience, when the guy behind the counter (who already has the lazy attitude of a Portlandia extra) helping the woman in front of me was SUPER condescending. This mother was clearly trying to get somewhere with her little kiddo who was very patient during this whole thing. A scene: After giving her the order with no indication of “just waiting on the kolaches” so she begins to leave, he shouts across the store: “uhh, are you going to leave without your kolaches?” In the most upturned spoiled tone I’ve ever heard. She replies with: “I’m sorry, I thought they were in here.” He then says: “ugh, well I have to warm them up first!” Again, with a horrible snarky tone. This goes back and forth for a while with the woman being very courteous until the guy behind the counter finally puts both hands on either side of his head, and motions to her and says “I can’t read minds!” I’m shook. I’m watching this all play out at the front of the counter with no acknowledgement, I’m basically a fly on the wall to this guy, then he gets to me, and I’m looking up at the menu, he summons me from behind the donut casing where I very clearly can’t see him, and says “hi. Can I help you?” In that classic “mamma says I’m special” tone that he seems to carry. And I ask one. Simple. Question. “Hey, do y’all take Apple Pay?” I feel that is a reasonable question, no? His response, well, with a slight giggle, and a condescending tone “nope!” Aaaaannnd so I left. TL;DR: customers pay your bills, at least be moderately nice to them. I’ve worked in the service industry most of my life, so I’ll give people the benefit of the doubt, but BOY this was...
Read moreThis occurred on 27JUN2025. There will be bad's and good's in this review: The bad's: This female worker in a yellow shirt, the manager maybe, was glaring at me as I was pulling into the parking lot. I hope it is not because of my color. That made me really uncomfortable. Then, I get to the counter, and no one wanted to help me. I had said, "Hellooo?" I apologize for doing that. I should have waited, but I would had eventually left if I was not going to get helped soon enough. I had told the manager, yellow shirt lady worker, that too.
Secondly, the bad stuff that happened, the manager had stated to me, "Don't do that," And I had asked her nicely to please be nicer to me. She stated to me she was being nicer to me. Then an argument ensued. Now I admit I was wrong when I got mad at this woman, and I kept saying, "Thank youu..thank you," after she asked how could she help me. I deeply apologize for that. But I wish this woman could have just stated to me, "I am sorry if you feel disrespected sir. I will be nicer to you," We both were wrong in this certain scenario, nonetheless.
Thirdly, The good stuff that happened: She thanked me for my service. That meant a lot to me. After all, I am a 100% Disabled Schizoaffective Navy Veteran. And she was much nicer to me while taking my order. Despite the argument I had with the managerial woman, this woman worker in a yellow shirt, I still ordered food when I didn't have to. Will I return? Probably not. But that is a "probably". I will return, however, if I will be served in a quicker fashion without being ignored and glared at moving forward. Thank you, to the owner, for reading this review. I will pray to my Savior Jesus Christ that something like this does not occur ever again; I am praying for world...
