Lavaca Street Bar - South Lamar — Restaurant in Austin

If you’re a LGBT+ be careful of this bar, had what was a decent lunch until the bartender was having a convo with other patrons saying stay away from 4th street, those are some wild people with the patron going ain’t no fags here, assuming the bartender agreed after stating gay people try to hit on him and he has to show the wedding ring, unequivocally not being aware of his other guest around him… guess he wasn’t aware he was serving a gay person.. maybe this bar doesn’t represent the opinions of its employees, considering there is a Jacksonville Jags rainbow flag up….I closed out and went to black sheep lodge - also isn’t there a lavaca next to 4th street, guess he doesn’t want patrons visiting that bar either… for the record I initially let the 12mins I waited to be served so he could talk to his wife slide and not to mention along with the child working in...

For a fans sports bar it is the worst for a few reasons. It’s the only Ravens bar in Austin and they have no themed drinks - not saying you have to go all out but you only need 1 drink or food item Ravens themed to pick and keep it going all season(s). They choose not to regardless of being the only Ravens bar for at least the last 3 years (as far as I’ve been aware). Ive been for a few Ravens games but what’s most disappointing is that they let opposing team fans reserve tables. Usually it’s fine but tonight, for an AFC game there were 2 full tables of the opposing team and they both reserved - which isn’t something you can do if you call in. Idk I guess if you’re gonna be a fans sports bar maybe just cater more to the game or don’t let the opposing team create an environment for the fans you’re...

This place is great….if you’re white. The staff would ask every other person in the room/bar if they were ok or if they needed something, but casually skip me and my partner who are Latino.

I would go up to the bar and I was the only person who would get charged first before getting their drinks. Every other customer, all white, would order and get their drinks, and then get charged.
