Service was extremely slow. Got there at 615 but our first drinks didn't arrive until 635; happy hour ends at 7. We ordered our second drinks which took 20 minutes. Since we noticed the apparently slow pattern, we ordered our third round at 655pm but they didn't get entered until 7 10 pm according to the receipt; go figure it was at regular price. After that, the drinks continued taking we 20-30 minutes to arrive. The food took about 30. The first time was great in January, this time was a major disappointment. I talked so highly of this place based on my first experience but will warn customers away based on my second. Funny thing is, first time was packed with fast and attentive service; second time was about few customers and slow service. Manager was rude and I think I was charged for too many drinks. Speaking of which, I was twice as intoxicated on four margaritas from my hotel bar than from the "8" margaritas that I supposedly drank here. And the waitress said the last two drinks were on the house since they took about 30-35 minutes to get to the table, yet they were on the bill. Unless they are trying to say that 4 hotel drinks affected me more than "10" (8 on bill counting the 2 that were "on the house") at a "cantina" which apparently translates into ripoff. Even my 3 dinner partners said that I was served only 6 drinks, not the 8 that was on the bill (or the 10 if the waitress comped me for 2). I was looking forward to my return to Austin and bragged to my partners about this great place only to be disappointed. I spread a great word, which will now be negative. Such a...

First time in Austin and a first time at an Ojos locos. Where do I start? Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated on what looked like a busy Friday night. Our server, Fer, was very prompt with taking our drink order and getting our appetizer out to us. Salsa was probably the highlight of the night, and I wish I was putting this down as an exaggeration, but unfortunately not. I understand the sports bar scenery, but it should not come with blowing out people's ear drums. We had to request to be moved from our original table where the hostes sat us at. Once we reseated, we proceeded to order our drinks. Let me tell you that the 29⁰ beer temp that is offered are lies. The beer at most was cold, at least. I've had some iced cold beers where it hurts your teeth to drink, but it was not here, that's for sure. Anyways, my wife ordered a Mexican mule with vodka, which turned out to be a bad selection. Drink was too sweet, and we could barley taste the ginger in it. I asked for a michelada with a Victoria beer. Beer was good and ill leave it at that. My wife proceeded to order a high noon and topo chico seltzer( out of stock). Seems like the bar manager needs to be updated as does the menus. We had 2 different menus at our table. One from 2022 and one from 2024. Overall , the waitress did her job as far as keeping our drinks coming to the best of her abilities. The establishment it's self probably needs a surprise visit from corporate and probably a change in management. Wouldn't recommend this place,...

I have been going to ojos locos for many years and never had a problem . Last night for some reason me and my date go he ordered the modelo ball I ordered water I then went to the restroom and came back he told me they refused to serve him because I was drunk in which I was not . The young man they had running the bar Hispanic at that even accused me of being intoxicated I asked for his name he refused ordered us to leave we were not even in there 10 when all this occurred I was so embarrassed and humiliated from this man’s accusations Also where we were seated there was a table of about 12 Hispanic men yelling and screaming obviously intoxicated and yet being served I feel very discriminated against because I was one of very few white people in there .Also the Hispanic waitress who was taking our order could not even speak English my date whom never been there before had to talk to her .I have always been respectful there and never had issues or been treated this way any where I am defiantly taking this further due to the way I was told to leave by this man who was managing the floor that evening .I feel that manger did not like American because his demeanor was very insensitive and disrespectful I am defiantly going to file a...

This restaurant was located at the end of the entrance to our hotel, so we decided to eat dinner here and I can honestly say, I was not prepared for what we experienced! I would share my typical photos of the inside of the restaurant but due to the mature nature of the outfits worn by the waitstaff, the photos would probably violate Google's decency standards. We later learned it was 'appreciation of lingerie' week 🙃. In addition to that, they had a live DJ that was playing music so loud, we could barely hear each other or our server. It was clear this environment was not designed to ever be a family-friendly place. The food was fresh and tasty but I would not return here due to the overall environment.

I liked to hear the place have a beer and eat something after work but this was after eating me and my 40 year old from work we had two beers and the second beer that they gave us was flat and with a strange taste I tried to talk to the manager and with a Sinoco nod he said that this is how they serve the second beer, and if they don't agree, we'll change to bottled beer, it's more silly... it's not worth taking advantage of the people. but pay attention when visiting this place

My wife and I for come out of town, but we were in the mood for tacos. The best way I could describe this place is Mexican Buffalo wild wings/hooters. We were the only white people in the whole place, and there was a huge soccer (futbol) game going on. It was a little loud, and our server spoke almost zero English (no problem for me, a decade as a cook requires you to learn Spanish). If we make it back to Austin, we'll also make it back to Ojos Locos again 💯
