I was hoping that this restaurant would have some good smoked chicken and refried beans Mexican rice guacamole no I was wrong mostly on the menu is American food chicken that's just Kinda OK chicken and the one Mexican item I saw was an empanada and I love empanadas and the place right next-door to them has the best empanadas I've ever had it's right behind that restaurant called Arepitas anyway that was the worst empanada I've ever had in my life I couldn't even chew it up it was not crispy on the outside it was chewy and I don't even know what was inside that thing I gave it to my dog bottom line they either need to learn how to make good American food/chicken mashed potatoes gravy or make good Mexican food or both preferably both but if they have a Mexican name on the outside of their business they should at least have some good Mexican food in there or even half decent. I started to give them a one but I gave them a two just because the fried chicken wasn't horrible oh and I got a Horchata and it was pretty good . If this is a chain they need to just shut it down specially in Austin we're used to pretty good Mexican food. And we have plenty of drive-through American fried chicken places that are better than this place. It's just...
Read moreOMG. i was nearby this past saturday and had missed lunch and needed a quick tie-me-over. i G-mapped chicken and landed on this place. Decided to take the plunge based on numerous yelp reviews and so happy I did.
The place is located inside of a gas station/convenience store structure, its a bit weird but there was a decent sized line of people waiting for that chicken. now, the place sells two types of chicken, roasted and fried. While the other people in line opted for the fried chicken, i went with the roasted (health). IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING.
FALL OFF THE BONE, PERFECT SPICE, EARTH SHATTERING. i wont hesitate to return and in fact am planning on it within the next few days. am sad i didnt have a cold corona to go with it.
dont be put off by the location, dont be put off by the lack of decorum, the food is good, it comes out fast, and its...
Read moreThis was our first time here. And probably our last one also. This was the most expensive fried chicken I've ever eaten. We paid $79 for a 20-piece meal with 4 sides & 3 medium drinks. The chicken was delicious 😋. Nice & crisp with a lot of flavor. I was told the Camperos beans were charro beans, however, they were beans with chorizo, which we didn't mind. They were good. The disappointment was the mashed potato which had a peculiar taste to it. It was also hard. Seemed like the potatoes were not boiled enough. Another thing was the dining area is not paid enough attention to it. There was trash on the floor and all the tables had not been wiped down. Restrooms were also locked down. And the paper carry-on bag where our food was handed to us was all soiled with oil draining out from the box where the...
