I had recently just got done with a job. In this area and was looking for food in the area. I saw Chipotle on Google Maps so I decided, unfortunately I was gonna get Chipotle little did I know that there is a kick a** burger spot. Named mooyah so I overall decided. I'm gonna have a burger today. As I'm walking in, I was greeted by employees. Looking lost at the menu, I decided to build my own burger. When I say building my own burger was the easiest thing I've done. It was the easiest thing I've done. Upon ordering my half a pound burger for only $19.34. As a meal. I proceed to go to the drink fountain station. Where I then get me a Dr. Pepper. Have a seat within 5 minutes. My burger was ready. The kind gentleman handed me my burger with my fries. And they even put it in a side of ketchup without me asking I then proceeded to walk outside. Where I decided I was going to eat the burger and do my small review? I take my first bite of fries instantly. I was mind, blown these fries, had that back home feeling from down south upon trying the fries. I proceeded to eat my burger. My mouth was watering the moment I opened it. Taking that first bite, I knew that this burger joint was in top 5 of Austin. Forevermore, anytime I'm in this area, I will always stop here and get a burger. By the way, if you're reading about the price of the burger? Trust me, they do not skimp. On the burger and they do not skimp. On the fries, I'm pretty sure I had at least a quarter pound of fries in my basket, if not more.

4 years later i came back- UPDATE Got the pretzel burger and it was very yummy, great flavor. The caramelized onions were almost raw though. Fries were yummy, tasted like sugar was sprinkled on them. Service was great. I arrived 15 mins after opening, but floors were sticky and slimy and salt and pepper shakers were nasty and grimey. Food on table and booth seat. Original review 4 years ago: Meh. $24 for one burger combo and one burger and drink, so not cheap. Burgers were alright, not bad, not the best. There was some confusion with our order (we ordered two combos but only got one so we shared fries). They had two TVs, one playing the news and the other some documentary... did they forget to put something on? Who watches the news when they go out to eat? Lady who took our order was friendly, guy who delivered it was eh... everything was just meh. Very unlikely ill come back because there are much better burgers for cheaper.

Nut allergy friendly except for the Reese's shake. They post their allergen information online! Review is for delivery a short distance away. Burgers and fries do not travel well in an enclosed container. They'll get soggy no matter what. I wouldn't order delivery again. That being said, the burger and fries I had were very good. I ordered the MDC and sharable fries and my friend got a normal cheeseburger. I loved the extra modifications without charge for grilled onions and the jalapenos. The sharable fries were huge - enough for two guys to be satisfied with some still leftover. The small ones even stayed crispy. The burger, while soggy, was very flavorful with fresh ingredients. I could imagine giving a 5/5 for eating in person, so I look forward to trying that!

I ordered online for pickup in these uncertain times. My order was prepared perfectly and was ready when promised. I am not far away, so I opted to pick up food instead of taking a delivery spot away from someone who needed it. I love my Mooyah. The store manager is always trying to make things right, runs the operation as smoothly as possible and still has a smile on his face. I visit there often. In my opinion, this store is the best fast food place around for me.

**New update: As always, Mooyah does not disappoint. I am now able to dine in which is my preferred way. I don't like takeout. I want it fresh and hot! My recent visit was no exception! Husband joined me this time. He had a hot dog and I had my usual burger. Fries are amazing! Thanks again Mooyah for being there for us.

Update: May 2021. Always a great experience

UPDATE: APRIL 27, 2022:

I want to start this review by saying, before April 26, 2022, I have never had a bad experience at Mooyah, and I am a regular customer. This visit was not the best. The order service was okay, reasonably friendly and he got my order right. When I went to get my drink, I notices the floor had pieces of food strewn about. After I picked up my food, the same junk was still on the floor. When I left the restaurant, the same junk plus more was still on the floor. Large enough pieces I had to step around it.

The floor was dirty, everywhere. The tables were dirty. I sat at a booth and used a hand wipe to clean it. There is usually a manager around, but I saw no one in charge. There was a very large water spill (larger than one of their metal food trays) by one soda fountain. I told the man behind the cooking/delivery counter about it and he said, "okay." I hung around for several minutes and nobody ever cleaned that up. A nasty hazard (coming from a retired insurance adjuster). The music was so loud, we could barely hear our names being called.

I normally LOVE their fries. They are usually cooked as they are ordered. This time, it seems, they were either waiting somewhere unknown, dropped in grease before the grease was hot, or not cooked long enough. They were cool, soggy and not crisp at all. They do not have a warming light where fries are cooked and waiting, so it's anybody's guess where mine were sitting. I looked around at other food items on the tables and all the fries looked a little sickly.

My burger was good, as usual. I love the fresh potato buns, fresh veggies and condiments. For a fast food place, this one is usually one of my very favorites.

Please Mooyah. Get it back together or your business is...

MOOYAH has delicious burgers and their sweet potato fries knock your socks off, y'all!!! They offer a variety of burgers from the classic quarter pound to the most complex ones. There're plenty options for vegetarians, paleo, and newly introduced vegan burgers! You can't go wrong with the classic quarter pounder of course. You can build for you own burger and customize everything to your own preferences. I recently tried the Green Quesonario which was super good. The patty is flat but it isn't as thin as paper, very well seasoned. Their potato buns have a hint of sweetness. It comes with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, fried onion strings, and GREEN CHILI QUESO on the side! One of many things I love about MOOYAH is that you can add grilled onion, fried onion strings, sautéed mushrooms, and a few more toppings at no cost!

The sweet potato fries...oh my!!! Sweet, crispy, and amazing!!! Many places tend to cut their sweet potato fries too thin or too thick. Here is just perfect! Personal portion is huge and more than enough for one person.

The regular French fries are hand-cut and fried to perfection. However, I can't pass on the sweet potato fries when I'm here.

Service: Robert is the most AMAZING person! He greets every single customer and makes great recommendations. When no one is in line to order, he checks on every single table to make sure everyone is doing ok and if we need anything. He brought us a small tray of homemade potato chips and ranch on the side for us to try. The potato chips are delicious and can be very addicting. Robert came to clear our tables periodically to make sure we had a nice and clean spot to hang out. Robert creates an experience for us like we are at a fancy restaurant, not a burger joint. We had such a great time enjoying great food and beyond excellent customer service by Robert.

MOOYAH also has their loyalty app where we earn points from our purchases, refer friends for bonus points, and get discounts or free food.

Definitely give MOOYAH a try if you're looking for a nice casual burger spot. Come to this Lakeline location and see Robert for an...

"The Great Milkshake Caper: A Tale of Disappearing Desserts!"

Oh, where do I even begin with this culinary escapade? It was a dark and stormy night (okay, maybe not stormy, but definitely dark) when I embarked on a gastronomic journey that promised to satisfy my burger-loving soul and quench my milkshake thirst. Little did I know, I was about to experience a plot twist worthy of a Hollywood thriller.

As the delivery driver arrived, my excitement soared. The burger, nestled in its little box, looked as delicious as advertised. I was ready to dive into a patty paradise. But, alas, there was one minor hiccup. The milkshake, my dear friends, had apparently decided to play hide and seek!

I scoured the bag, questioned my own sanity, and even checked under the burger's bun (just in case it was pulling off a "burger mask" trick), but alas, the milkshake was nowhere to be found. Perhaps it had dreams of becoming a ninja and stealthily escaped from its destiny as a dessert. Who can blame it for wanting to pursue a life of adventure?

Now, let me tell you, my taste buds were in for a rollercoaster ride. The burger was fantastic, a savory symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. But, without its sweet and creamy partner, the milkshake, it was like a comedy show without the punchlines. I laughed (at my misfortune) and cried (because I really wanted that milkshake).

So, here's the punchline: I'm left with an unsolved milkshake mystery that Sherlock Holmes himself would struggle to crack. My friends, if you ever order from this place, be sure to count your milkshakes before they mysteriously disappear into the night. In the end, my taste buds sang one final lament for the missing milkshake, and I was left with a lesson in burger and milkshake drama that I'll remember for a long time. Bon appétit, and may your milkshakes never pull a disappearing...
