St. Elmo Brewing Company is me and my husband's favorite neighborhood brewery. We've been to their annual birthday celebrations and even took engagement pictures and had our wedding welcome drinks event here. We love their menu - there is something on it for everyone, whether they want to drink an alcoholic beverage, a CBD infused beverage, or simply sip on a soft drink. It is also child friendly with kids activities and a jungle gym type structure outside. The menu often rotates but you can always find something tasty - when in doubt go with the Carl, their signature beer!
When it came time to coordinate with St. Elmo for our wedding eve party we were able to reserve space outside (originally) for our welcome drinks and set a bar tab limit for the night. Coordinating with Jennifer, the manager, was easy and we were so excited to welcome people to our beloved neighborhood spot. The night of the event, temperatures in Austin were lower than expected and we were able to pivot inside. The manager on duty was super patient with our very large group and communicative with me about the tab limit as well as where we were at until we reached it. I am super grateful to the team for making it so easy for me as a patron. I know that my family and friends enjoyed the night and can't stop talking about what a cool spot the brewery was. We shut it down and it was truly a wonderful night as a part of our...
Read moreSt. Elmo Brewing Company is a gem in the local brewing scene, and my recent visit was elevated by the exceptional service from Kathleen, the amazing bartender. The atmosphere is inviting, with a relaxed vibe perfect for enjoying a craft beer. The selection of brews is impressive, showcasing a variety of styles to suit any palate.

Her passion for her work is evident, and she goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and satisfied.

Read moreI met the Carl Kolsch at Thunderbird on Keonig. It is a recent regular there and its right up there with Shiner's Kosmos. We went to the source, and tried 10 of the 15 beers on offer ( in January. There are three core beers. The rest rotate ).
My top 3 were the Carl Kolsh, the Rosa raspberry sour, and the Slater AIPA. Also good were the Winona Rye IPL, and the Ruth USA Barley Wine. The Ruth is stealth: at 9.8 abv it has little alcohol flavor to it.
The food truck is also first rate. I had the tempeh burger and it was amazing. She had the eggplant and the peanut sauce was terrific.
Like so many taprooms in Austin, the staff are fun, interesting, engaged, and just nice.
Late hours a plus as well. Long after most of the Metric taprooms are closed ( not counting 4th tap) St Elmos is here for your...
