I have traveled to more than a dozen countries, more than 20 states, and even slept outside for long periods of time due to my time in the service. I would have rather willingly broken 3 of my fingers than stay here again, my fingers would heal, but the memory of this place will last forever... This by far was the WORST place i've ever stayed. The place is riddled with crack heads, drug dealers, and any other illegal activities you could think of. I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and every day I got back to that hotel, I found at LEAST 2 roaches in my room. If you decided to eat in your room, the roaches would come out in sub 15min every time. There was also a dead MASSIVE New York sized rat on the stairs for several days that was not taken care for at least 3 days. On my first full day there, I had left for an extended period of time and arrived at my hotel room to see that it was cracked open, to which I find that my duffle bag with all of my clothes and home/car keys had been stolen. I go to the front desk, the employee tells me to call the police as he contacts his property manager. Police tell me to call 311, 311 says that a detective will contact me in 2 weeks... Awesome. So the employee tells me that the property manager is the only one with security camera access and he already left for the day (Friday). So I switch my room and I come back the next day to see if he is here, they tell me they don't know when they'll be back. On Sunday, I finally talk to someone that notified me that he will be back on Monday after 8a.m., perfect. So I go to check out Monday after 8a.m., guess who is not here and nobody knows when he'll be back? The Property Manager. So I speak with the Front Desk Manager and she tells me he won't even be back for the rest of the week (Christmas week) and more than likely won't be here for New Years week as well. Fantastic. I give the Front Desk Manager my contact information and she gives me their business card and Property Managers 1st name (Bill). It has since been almost 3 weeks since then, and I have radio silence. I suspect as I was walking to my room when I initially arrived by one of the many law abiding citizens outside in the parking lot at 10am on a Thursday, OR it was stolen by an employee or contractor working cleaning the rooms or doing work in the building and they're trying to cover it up, I don't know. Still no word on anything about cameras and was even told by an employee that likely this mythical property manager was probably going to tell me that the hotel is not liable for any stolen property. Ah... Very well... Also their version of a breakfast was a broken coffee machine and watered down orange juice.... It was cold though... Oh, and none of the TV's worked in either room and both refrigerators also did not work. I highly advise any self respecting person to pay a little more money to stay at the hotel 100ft. north of it or on the other side of the highway. You'll...
Read moreFirst off, I have no complaints about the staff, but the hotel was one of the worst I've stayed in.
We booked a non-smoking room (Rm. 148) and immediately smelled cigarette smoke, but because it was already 3 a.m., we stuck with the room and hoped the smell would dissipate. It did not, and my CPAP still smells like smoke days later. We also found a large pile of ashes in the parking lot, which looked like someone had been burning something or dumped out a grill.
The smoke detector had been removed from the wall and was hidden in a drawer. We only found it because a low-battery chirp went off in the middle of the night. There was candle wax on multiple surfaces. And there were very few lights in the room, so it was very dim.
When we climbed onto the bed, the metal frame warped and sounded like thunder. Every time we rolled over, it did the same thing.
The bathroom door wouldn't close without considerable effort because it was warped and stuck against the warped floor. It's no wonder there was humidity damage and a musty odor because the ceiling fan was missing. Instead, there was just a rough-cut hole in the ceiling. We saw a large grasshopper or cricket multiple times that would not leave the room in addition to a possible termite in the bathroom. We also had to duck down to use the shower, and we're both average height.
At 3:30 a.m. on Saturday night, we heard a weird rhythmic knocking on the door, then another knock a few minutes later. When I said "hello," the person knocking took off. Then, we were woken up to the exact same weird knock at 5:30 a.m. Normally, I'd assume they just had the wrong door, but it was strange and specific enough that we wondered if this was the passcode for something shady, which made us feel a bit unsafe.
We would've called the front desk at that point, but most of the buttons were missing from the in-room phone, so we mentioned the issue at checkout.
Altogether, this was a very smelly, loud, dirty, and unsafe seeming room. We were attending a wedding and needed to meet friends next door, but I wish we would've left right away. This motel reflects very badly on the brand and will make me think twice before I book a...
Read moreIf you enjoy the swat team raiding the room above you at 5am, cracked out looking hoes honking in cars at all hours of the night, and bugs, this is your place to stay. Fantastic graffiti that some may consider profane telling you want to eat more of spray painted throughout the corridors was just the touch no one asked for. The hotel is nothing clean like pictured. Contacting corporate for help with the terrible stay and they kick it back to the "franchise owner" who clearly doesn't mind how their hotel has a reputation. While trying to find WHY the swat team was there I learned of a previous murder at this hotel too. It's not safe. There is no refunds regardless of how little rest you got from swat team breaking in a room nearby and crack hoes in the parking lot. In addition there were tons of people seemingly living inside trash bag tents in the parking lot. It was gross. There was also bugs in the room. I have videos and photos to back up everything I mention as well and shared with corporate who didn't care. I would avoid this hotel like the plague unless you want to catch the plague then this might be the place for you. Dirty and gross and there was no service. (BTW this came up as one of those "deals" where you don't know the hotel you get until you book so mark the location so you don't get suckered). I had to stay in Austin for work and I will never stay here again. Also people come to your door banging regardless of time asking for cash and if you say you don't have any they try to intimidate you. If you still say no they ask for a beer or cigarette or something. The place REEEKS...
