Highlights: dog friendly. Student friendly. Work badge friendly. Staff was hustling orders and in great spirits. And allowed to have their tattoos exposed which is great! Dogs on site! If you like dogs this place is happening. Stopped in on my motorcycle. Seating and interior felt really bad. Seats are cheap metal, tables are about big enough to fit two Harry Potter books on side by side. If you and your friend bring a laptop, get separated tables. There's a tiny lounge here at the bee caves location. Chairs are packed in a bit too tightly. Outdoor seating is better, and in the "well the tables are bigger" kinda way. I rated the atmosphere low because the establishment doesn't attribute to the positive parts of the atmosphere much. Very human place, and that's good. Drinks are ... high in sugar. I ordered an Iced Mocha Moon Latte. The beans are roasted, very average flavor. You can taste the smoke from their roaster, so if you like that "your dad is bad at bbq" flavor, go for it. Butterscotch and heavy cream mixed into a mocha, chocolate flavor was low, bean flavors were high. If you want a bean forward coffee that is drenched in additional sugars, go for it. I bought a "Mexican cola" out of the cold cabinet on the right. It was good, generic, and I threw the mocha away. If you look at my photos you know I like the sweet drinks but this wasn't my style of sweet. Very forced, unbalanced. If you're a noise sensitive patron, with any kind of sensory overload issue, maybe sit outside. The parking lot is honestly a better environment than inside. The flagpole bops on the breeze and there is a family of crows that watch the parking lot during the high sun hours. I am worried about the c.e.o's political position.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped into the Summer Moon Coffee on Bee Caves Road today and had another great experience! The barista and staff were super friendly, and the decor is bright and inviting with plenty of indoor seating—definitely more room here than the Andersen Road location. While it’s not quite as cozy, I still love the Andersen spot’s outdoor seating under the trees when Austin cools down. The lattes are my absolute favorite—a large comes with 3 shots of espresso and still tastes smooth and flavorful, without that bitter bite (sorry, Starbucks šŸ˜ž). Just a heads-up, if you add oat milk and a shot of vanilla, plus the auto-gratuity starting at 18%, the price can sneak up on you—maybe that’s my European living showing! Still, this location nails the friendly service and great coffee every time. Worth the stop if you’re in the Bee Caves area!

Summer Moon Coffee is hands down the best chain coffee shop I’ve experienced in California and Austin. While I can’t speak for other cities or states, it’s clear that this brand has managed to maintain exceptional quality. Unlike many chain coffee shops that lose their charm and flavor as they grow, Summer Moon breaks the mold. Their coffee rivals that of small, independent cafes—crafted with care, full of flavor, and consistently excellent no matter which location you visit. My favorite drink, a flat white with oat milk, is made exactly how I like it every time. On top of that, the atmosphere in every Summer Moon shop is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy your coffee. Highly recommended for coffee lovers seeking both quality and character!

Today is June 6, 2025. It’s 7:15 AM. I went to Summer Moon on my way to work. I ordered a half moon decaf. It tasted like straight water. I called them and told them that I cannot turn around right now and change my coffee because I had to clock in. I asked them can I grab one on the way home. They told me I needed to take a picture of my cup. I had just left five minutes earlier and gave them my name and purchased the coffee. I told them I do not want to leave them my phone number. I asked him why could they not just leave a note for the next people. After the runaround, they decided to… This was too much hassle for a five dollar cup of coffee, especially someone who doesn’t even know how to make it. They need to get that girl out of there and send her back to coffee making in school. I’m pissed because I have no coffee this morning.šŸ˜† Mad...
