Better buzz review
Prior to this store opening, I was chosen to work here. The opening was delayed and during that time (which was 3 months) the managers failed to communicate. Then to my surprise, last week the store opened and yet again the managers didn’t reach out to either express interest in wanting to keep me as a barista or move on with other options. The lack of communication was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Today, I decided to drive by and get a quick breakfast. I decided to go inside to order and the display case of food was a mess!! There was food everywhere, sliding down the case; just completely unorganized. I had to go to the bathroom and I went to put my purse on the hook and the hook immediately fell down. (My purse is extremely lightweight I have like 3 objects in there so the hook was clearly not screwed on tight enough.) I ordered coffee as well as a cheese danish and the coffee was done first. As I’m waiting for my danish I look at the counter and it’s a mess; there’s dairy products and food items scattered on the counter and the baristas are in a rush. I waited so long for my cheese danish that I ended up having to REMIND the barista who took my order that I ordered a cheese danish. I am very displeased with the unprofessionalism of this location. While you might argue that I am bias seeing how I was originally supposed to work here, good customer service is not predicated upon my personal experience it should be shown to every customer at every location regardless of personal ties. There was also some strange activity I experienced in the parking lot. A man in a construction outfit kept hovering my car and pointing his device at me. I don’t know that man and I saw him doing the same thing to other people’s cars as well. He would go over to the car with some device either taking a picture or recording the cars’ info which is very weird. Overall, a very unpleasant experience at...
Read moreA bit of a confusing (and expensive) experience. First off, the way they portion and price their Americanos is confusing. Why, when you pull double shots, would you sell a small Americano with 2 shots and a large with 3 shots? When I asked the staff if they just poured that second half of that double shot down the drain, they said “we save it for the next large drink.”
Okay. So. Clearly this is a case of “Good, Better, Best.” And Better Buzz just shouted loud and clear where they stand. Essentially they’re charging quad shot (that’s two double shots, mind you) prices and giving out triple shots, shorting you that 4th shot, whereas any respectable coffee shop isn’t so blatantly ripping off their customers.
And this is on me, I knew I shouldn’t have spent $10 on a itsy bitsy and squishy pretzel bun breakfast sandwich. But I did. And I regret it.
It’s a vibe, y’all. And it’s not the best at anything. While it’s barely better than most in quality, their pricing structure just isn’t good enough for me to return. And that’s being kind. In reality, they’re robbing customers who buy their large espresso drinks. Stealing from the poor to give to the...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place! Went here with a friend recently and we both were so excited to try their coffee, but I have to say, it fell flat for me. I ordered one of their signature drinks and didn't feel like the person taking my order cared at all to share their knowledge or help me order (I told him it was my first visit). The coffee was presented nice, but tasted burnt, so obviously they let the shots expire but still served it to me. I also shared a blueberry muffin that they warmed up but then forgot about cuz by the time it arrived, it wasn't hot. It too, just fell flat. Not very flavorful for a muffin. The inside was nice, although you can tell they're still setting things up. The tables need to be leveled too because you can't expect food and beverages to be consumed at tables that constantly rock back and forth. Its such a pet peeve of mine! 😆 Overall, I would only return if they were promoting a drink that sounded good and caught my attention. And perhaps they're still so new, that improvements will happen over time as they grow. I'm...
