Sweet people I and my daughter was looking for a birthday cake for my granddaughters 2nd birthday which is specifically a Pocahontas and we had tried two other places like Cake by the Slice and another place with the female wanting to be prepaid and she sent a picture of what she offered and I told my daughter no you do not. However, a bakery female at Freshmarket told us about this place and she referred us to this bakery because they themselves stop decorating cakes. When we went to this place it smelled so delicious and we place the order and guess what this same cake was under a hundred dollars difference and my daughter placed this order. About this place, it smelled so good and the sweet pretzel my granddaughter chose was so delicious that she being 18 months gobled up this sweet treat in minutes. I will give a picture and a review of what it taste like and look like when we pick it up in June. This place have very nice store and sincere acting employees with a southern hospitality attitude. I differently will be going back for sweet treat in the future! The sincere hospitality like this in these times and days are very rare! Thanks for making our daughter and granddaughter wishes come true! I will be giving another review on the results of the quality art work and taste when we pick up the cake and the qualities of the cake decorator after the birthday party is over with...
Read moreI don’t want to mess up of what I speak, but I guess Gwendy’s is doing breads on a very regular basis now. Just moved here in March, and one of my first thoughts was “Excellent, I can go to Gwendy’s more”.

I do have one complaint - I bought the 'regular' round (which literally weighs like 3 lbs) and it almost wasn’t enough for just hubs and myself that day - haha.
Go get you some fantastic breads. Now. I’m almost reluctant to spill the beans, but, hot darn, Gwendy’s literally has the best bread I’ve ever eaten. And don’t forget to try the cookies, granola,...
Read moreI was very disappointed I entered today ready to buy pastries for all my crew and some graduation cookies for a party we are having for kindergartners. The owner was visiably taking a order over the phone. The crew who were standing around then went to hide behind the counter. I didn't have the time to wait and wasn't sure how long her phone call would last so I had to leave. But I felt some kind of way everyone should be treated the same and employees should help out especially when I was the only customer in the store. I know it's hard to find good help. But it's also hard to keep good customers. Sadly I won't be back but maybe this will open up other crewemenrs eyes teamwork and helping each other...
