Coyote Mexican Grill & Cantina is surprisingly good despite being in a strip mall. CCs accepted, restrooms in the back. The portions are ample and everything was tasty. Their refried beans appear to be pureed, which is uncommon. Also uncommon is the coleslaw that comes with the free pre-meal chips. I don't know how authentic that is, but it tasted easy beget than what was being served at a local fall festival. The restaurant itself is a great level of formality. You'd be equally comfortable here in jeans & T- shirt or a coat and tie/ dress.

Came for lunch and the food was delicious! Lettuce was crisp and fresh. Cole slaw and salsa with chips was great. I got the mini chimichangas and the only complaint is that the chicken ones were a little more dry than the beef ones. Would definitely come back.

Amazing Mexican place. The friendliest staff. Food is always good and served HOT (temperature). Clean restaurant with a big menu, also has an outdoor seating area. I usually meet friends here after work for an eat in dinner and drinks.

We visit this eatery regularly as we live in the immediate area. The food is normally outstanding. Always enjoyable, tasty, fresh and worth the monies spent. However, tonight was an utter disappointment over our past experiences. I ordered a Caesar Salad with no meat as I was also ordering a small portion of wings. What I received was no where close to a Caesar Salad but more so finely shredded head lettuce on a platter covered over with red onions, peppers, olives and various. If there was any dressing or Parmesan I would have been surprised. The lettuce was the consistency one would either place inside something similar to a tortilla or as an add on in a similar dish. As a base for a salad, trust difficult to chew (it was that fine) and trust very hard to swallow. The server attempted to convince me she placed my order correctly and it was romaine based. I assured her, this is as far from romaine as an apple is from a pineapple. They took it off our bill at my request and returned it back to the kitchen. The next layer is the wings. Although cooked properly we still are not sure if we ordered BBQ Sauce and the wings were the dressing or visa versa. We do know a deep plate of BBQ sauce did arrive at our table coupled with floating wings. I requested napkins as it looked like it was going to be messy. What I did not expect was the napkins would serve as a method to wipe off the saturation of sauce allowing them to be consumed. My husband seemed to enjoy his entry. Me, I came home hungry and wishing I had just gone to Heinen's in the first place, picking up one of their amazing rotisserie Chickens. Add some vegetables and dinner is done. We paid for the wings - explained our dissatisfaction with our visit to the Coyote. Will we go back......probably not. As an Owner of a business, after one entry backfiring, then the second - a Manager should have been at our table - with a "something" to bring us back in. A Server saying sorry your visit was not as expected really was just words. So with no addition to the bill, we...

WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT A REGULAR YOU WILL NOT GET GOOD SERVICE OR FOOD!!!!! Went here with friends because of the reviews saying the service is great and personable. Well, that's only true if you are a regular. Our server spent more time talking to a friend than waiting tables. After waiting to take our order it took what seemed like forever to get our drinks - because he always stopped to talk to his friend. He came back to take our order and it was very rushed. Why, because as soon as he took our order he went right back to his friends table to talk. This is why I assume our food took forever to come out - because he didn't send it to the kitchen until he stopped talking with his friend. My friends ordered salads and I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (sautéed shrimp in garlic sauce). When it finally arrived it was cold and covered in a cheese sauce. Not what I ordered or what was described on the menu. When I asked he said that's what it is and when I questioned him he didn't care. If it was supposed to be a seasoned garlic sauce it wasn't. It was the blandest sauce and chewiest shrimp I have every had. No garlic or spice taste at all. I couldn't even finish it. I would have told our sever about the food but the next time we saw him he handed us the bill! We would have ordered more drinks but because he spent more time talking to his friend than with other tables, we couldn't. The atmosphere was great but the food and service were horrible. As for me and my friends, we're not regulars, we're not going back. But then again, they...

Guy behind the bar instead of giving me a menu when asked nicely for one, he kept gravitating to a seat at the bar to talk to his friends.

I walked in, hostess greeted me. I asked to sit at the bar and did just that. Bartender came over and asked what I want to drink, I ordered a draft and said may I get a menu please, he said OK and asked if I wanted chips and salsa, I said yes.

He then disappeared but sat next to his friends like he was a customer. I was confused, I didn't have a menu at this point. The the hostess brought over the chips and salsa, he still sitting in a bar stool.

He then got up and start walking toward the hostess station where menus was, I finally thought he was grabbing one, nope he walked outside instead. Then he came back in and sat with his friends again. I asked a waitress that walked behind the bar past me if the kitchen was closed(8:35ish) she said no. I then had to get up off my seat walk over to a bar stool the bartender was sitting at and said i asked you for a menu when I first came in, he looked like I was bothering him and asking for too much, thats when I said never mind and got my bill. I told him it's very unprofessional. He then told me he was covering for the bartender that was in the kitchen. He still didn't understand that if you cover then you cover wait til they get back before acting like a customer. That bartender is either helping cook? Or talking with the cooks for a very long time? Sounds like the whole place is...
