5-Star China Buffet — Restaurant in Bainbridge

My party wanted Chinese food so we came here. The restaurant itself was dated. In desperate need of a face-lift. The tables and chairs were in decent shape, but there were signs that the staff and management didn't care about the overall appearance. Supplies in some of the booths, one of the buffets was full of supplies and product boxes rather than food items. Cleaning rags were out on top of a seated booth. Just no desire to create a fresh environment for guests. Maybe because it was understaffed the night we came. The food was all right. The sweet and sour chicken had just come to the buffet, and it was perfectly cooked. The rest of the meat items on the buffet were overcooked. What surprised us the most was how the buffet was even stocked while watching the to-go boxes being filled to overflowing for one order. We couldn't figure out how those boxes were being closed, much less how the buffet was staying stocked. The staff that watched over our table were very friendly. Our recommendation for eating here would be to order something off the menu to go. You would get fresh food, and would be assured of getting what you wanted rather than dodging the many to-go buffet orders. Overall, the visit wasn't bad. It was...

Trying to figure out how this place has a 4.0 rating! We stopped last night March 2, 2018 and the food was horrible. I seriously believe the food had been recooked. The shrimp and the crab legs all tasted old; I finally noticed as I was pulling the crab meat out of shell that it was yellowish brown on top of the meat. I dunno, I can't explain it but it looked/tasted different than any other crab meat I've seen before. I was also furious to see their health inspection was 80!!! My local gas station deli has a 94...OMG! I can't say they were trying to "hide" the rating as it was in plain site :/ lol although it was strategically place and above eye level, I stretched at checkout and turned away from cashier and just happen to see it. Came here for a good dinner with the family & the food options weren't all fresh. The options weren't as big as I anticipated & the vibes were a little off. While my kids were on their first plate still (honey & I were on our second plate tasting food choices), the lady brought our bill. I mentioned it was a buffet which usually means all you can eat. She said yes & proceeded to place the bill on the table & told us to pay when we were ready. I asked her if she was tryna get rid of us & she admitted yes. I looked at her crazy & stated she must be confused on the "all you can eat statement I made a few seconds ago" in which she gave me a confused look back before walking away.
