The waiter we had acted slow. He didn't really say anything. When we gave him our drink orders, and they brought out salsa I asked for a side of cheese. When he came to take our order we have it to him and told him it would be two separate tickets. He didn't check on us while we waited on our food, we had to get someone to help us..He didn't get our food order right. Someone else brought us the stuff we needed. When we asked for to go boxes. He brought them, and ask who was going to pay for the cheese. We told him it didn't matter. Put it on either check. When we approached the register the same guy asked us three more times who was going to pay for the cheese. We told him it didn't matter just put it all on one check. Another person approached him and told him we didn't leave a tip. So our waiter who was checkinh us out got mad and asked where was his tip. Then two other guys that work there started getting angry saying you have to leave a tip if you wat inside. Now first off I have been a waitress before and I get it. But your tips also come from your service and if you give bad service you don't get a tip. Secondly tipping is optional. Third of it's going to be mandatory to tip if you dine in it should be posted and/or made aware of to customers. The food is good but I didn't like my service so I didn't tip. And because of how we were confronted so angrily by the staff I won't be going back. That could've been one of those situations to quickly get out of hand but instead of argue and make a bigger scene with them. We decided to leave and never go back. So make sure if you eat there and even if you don't like the service you...
Read moreAlmost worst place ever. Service was horrible. I asked the waitress can I make a substitute, "oh I don't know." Manager (or whomever he is) comes over, "yea we can do that." Food still came out wrong. Chips are out of the bag and salsa from a jar. I asked for a strawberry margarita on the rocks with a sugar rim. Waitress, "what do you mean rocks?" I got the strawberry syrup (the syrup used to make frozen margaritas) and ice. Then I asked the waitress, "is this what this is...?" A guy comes over takes the glass to the 'back' put a shot of cheap tequila in it and brought it back to the table. I ask, "y'all don't hand make the margaritas?" He says, "oh no we don't do that". Ok whatever. I go to check out after hunting down a ticket and a person to pay and the rude ass guy argues with me about the margarita and tells me, "maybe you should teach me how to make a margarita." I said, "I can I'm a bartender or you can Google it." This was the worst attitude, service, and food I've had in a long time. It was not worth the $14 (I had to pay for the margarita I didn't touch, the horrible enchilada, and the cold cornbread that was supposed to be a tamale). Don't waste your...
Read moreThis establishment is relatively easy to locate. Directly off Highway 27/Tallahassee Highway. I am quite familiar with the area so I knew I wouldn't have any problems finding it.
When I walked in the restaurant was pretty full. I didn't immediately see the bar/self-seating area, so I asked the host and he was more than accommodating. He directed me to the particular section and quickly started me on a very, very delicious House Margarita. The complimentary chips and salsa (definitely homemade) were scrumptious and spicy, as well as the guacamole.
I ordered a shrimp and chicken dish, with the usual beans, rice and guacamole salad. It was quite tasty, but the shrimp and chicken were really, really greasy. Had this not been an issue they would have garnered five stars easily.
The bartender even gave me a complimentary Margarita!!!! How thoughtful (I nicely complimented him with a nice tip!) I definitely recommend and would revisit!!! Very friendly employees and super quick service!
One quick note though--the water I had was truly disgusting. I don't know where it came from but it definitely...
