Brazilian Acai Bowls & Juice Bar — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Coming from mission viejo where acai bowl co is - this place Brazilian acai bowls is a huge rip off. Notice they didn't fill the large acai bowl to the top but managed to fill the smaller acai bowls to the top. Not to mention charging .50-$1.00 for each topping for the build your own acai bow (the large one). Acai bowl co in mission viejo (OC) fills yours to the top, doesn't charge for toppings and even if they did they'd still fill it to the top instead of making you pay them to fill it to the top while refusing to do so. Not the best tasting either. Just ironic and crazy that a place in Bakersfield charges so much more for. A product that tastes awful which they aren't even giving you what you're paying for, photos speak for themselves. I definitely wouldn't waste your $ here. Their vegan sandwich for nearly $8 is also a joke and has 0 flavoring.

The ladies at counter were sweet but stood around while I waited at register until another customer came in, then one lady came to ring me up. People probably don’t want to work here due to the greed. I mean they don’t even fill up your acai bowls despite charging you extra to get that, imagine how they treat their employees if that’s how they treat their paying in good...

I am very disappointed in the service I received yesterday evening. After speaking with one of the servers about a couple options, I was asked if that's what I wanted. I said 'yes' and figured that she would proceed to make my juice and get the food item from the back as it was not in the front cooler.

After standing around and waiting, she asked if I was ready to place my order. I replied that I had already placed it. She said I hadn't because she had not rung it up. She said she would finish what she was doing and place my order. I thought about leaving because I was frustrated - I had waited while there was just one other customer. Meanwhile another woman walked in and had been waiting for her turn.

When the server finished what she was doing, she went to the cash register and I thought she was going to place my order. Instead, she placed the order of the woman who had just walked in. I thought, 'wow, that's really rude and poor customer service!!' I didn't like how I was being treated, and thought, "I'm done here" and...

Brazilian Acai bowls has an "internship" for perspective employees in which they make you sign papers allowing them to train you for hours without pay under the guise of to "see if you like the job". Never had one call or text back, a contrast to before having the owners frequently asking questions and texting about when you can come in etc. I have spoke to others than have been in the same position I was a couple months ago which is why I am now speaking out. Waste of time and energy for us all. Also had an underage employee doing closing shifts by themselves until 12 AM (not family, like if that makes the laws and obvious risk any different). Frankly the family is sly and cheap. Do Bakersfield a favor and support any other...
