Me-n-Ed's Pizza — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Our experience was terrible. We ordered a thin crust pizza, 12 inches, with Italian sausage and some vegies. On the whole pizza, there was maybe 12 tiny pieces of sausage. One slice had no sausage, some had 2, rarely 3. I told the front counter, they offered to make a new one. Are you kidding? You did not know you jipped us on our pizza? The big guy made the pizza, heard him tell the young worker over and over "just walk away." WHAT?? WOW, and honestly, the pizza tasted terrible. I think the cheese is not real or very processed. We were not rude, just informed them of our disappointment and that we would not be back, the worst thing you can say to a business. But what do they know about business? Someone's skimming to increase there profit. Zero on quality, zero on value. Shame on you. Wanted to give zero stars, but...

We ordered pick up on that fearful night of Halloween. We asked for pick up at 6pm, ordered at 4. Smart, right? Got there to pick it up. Walked in and it was packed with people who must have had the similar idea. I paid for the meal and was told ten minutes. Thirty minutes goes by and nothing, I check in with them. Come to find out they never made our pizza. Now you are probably wondering why I'm giving them four stars. The second they realized there was a mistake; they were on it like sauce on crust, pun intended. Mistakes happen, it's how you handle the situation after the fact that counts. The manager and his team was determined to make it right. I can only imagine this is what it is like for Jay-Z when he orders any kind of food or anything, being priority is nice.

Good food, great beer selection, nice environment... What's not...

Here's my thing, I want to love this place. But multiple times I've been here, I have had nothing but problems. They use to have a person who serviced the tap bar, think of it like the beer concierge, that person is not there anymore. Do you like IPAs? I'd hope so, since that is the majority of the beers, a few stouts, or ales. But the times I've been there some of those were out. I've gone in to order a take out pizza, drink a glass or two then take my pizza, to find my pizza delayed, or sitting on the oven with no announcement. It is frustrating, this is the kind of place I want, but the service is so mediocre I feel I'm just tossing dice when I go in. It's almost not worth it. Like I said very...
