Today when I went on my limited time lunch break from my terrible office job in downtown I decided to try out Que Pasa Mexican Sports and Cocina restaurant down on 600 Coffee rd. When I went in the atmosphere was beautifully exquisite and extremely hospitable. The server I was given Named Jeaneth was a very caring and helpful waitress.when I asked about the Sizzling Enchiladas that I had seen another fellow patron enjoy i asked Jeaneth if she could possibly turn the sizzle of said dish just a little bit down seeing as I have very sensitive hearing and the person who had said dish was very loud upon it getting to their table. She said in a very calming and gentle tone that she will try her very best at turn done the sizzling of the enchiladas to accommodate my hearing disability. As I saw her put my order in I can see she asked who I didn’t know at the time was the Manager of the place and Jeaneth towards my direction and the said manager came by to my table. “ Hi my name is Stacy and I just wanted to reassure you that the Sizzling enchiladas sizzling will be turned down at a reduced volume sir.” She says in a calm and reassuring voice. The art work and overall vibe of the place has a warm and family feeling to it. Almost as if I’ve been here 100’s of time even this it’s my first. The art in the place was immaculate and the bar area being one of the biggest and most visually appealing I’ve ever seen.( and I’ve been to some real rockers hahaha!)By the time i had finished watching the and admiring this beautifully built infrastructure I saw Jeaneth with my Not so Loud Sizzling enchiladas! Jeaneth and the wonderful manager Stacy somehow managed to Absolutely silence the Sizzling Enchiladas almost completely while still keeping that amazing popping asthetic. When I asked these two amazing people how they did it they simply replied “We’re que Pasa..it’s what we do sir” Stacy said with a grin. Jeaneth then asked for a refill of my drink(which as a ice cold Dr.Pepper to which she has asked and refilled multiple times) and proceed to ask me If there is anything else I needed to give her a shout. As I say there eating my Scrumptious and excuse my French Damn near to die for enchiladas. I sat in awe at how a amazing restaurant as Que Pasa Sports bar and Cocina can be so perfect for any type of event. Rather a hang out or a nice bar stop for a Saturday night out with friends. As I finished my food and drink, which my I add was filled Multiple time and both server Jeaneth And Manager Stacy asked if everything was up to my standards. I simple replied with it proceeded to break the barriers of what were my standards. I left a nice tip for My amazing server and was on my very way back to my god awful office job In Downtown Bakersfield.
Overall I give this place a 89/10 would recommend to even my worst of enemies if they ever want to enjoy some good food, some good music, some good drinks, and overall...
Read moreMy family and I are in town visiting family for my uncle's memorial and wanted a nice dinner. We called and made a reservation to come in with 10 people. They said they could accommodate us. Our server was not exactly friendly. They were out of a beer, and instead of asking, he just brought whatever. We had another drink messed up. A food order was wrong, and it felt like we were an inconvenience for saying something. We felt unwanted there in general. Everyone got their food, but some waited a long time for theirs. We spent over $300, and they kept turning up the music up to push us out even though they were not closed or close to closing. I work at a bar and restaurant, and I understand things happen, but communicate with your guests. We weren't rude at all. You could have asked us to leave instead of being passive-aggressive with turning the music up repeatedly and constantly staring at us. It made all of us uncomfortable. Again, we weren't rude, so I don't underatand why were treated with disrespect. The bartender was a sweetheart and the best part about the experience. Now I know why this place has bad reviews. This is how you tank a business. My family who lives here will not be returning and neither will we...
Read moreThe restaurant interior is very pretty! We had a large group of 25 people for a birthday celebration, which is hard to find space for. I called a week+ ahead and they easily accommodated us in the beautiful, large, private room. Front of house was really helpful in explaining various options for such a large group and we ultimately went with a buffet-style dinner. The buffet included: beef and chicken fajitas, cheese & chicken enchiladas, rice & beans, salad, chips & salsa, tortillas, chicken tenders & fries and non alcoholic drinks. Buffet was customized to our requests! The food was all good and reasonably priced to feed 25 people. They kept the buffet full and hot. Waitstaff was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating for our party… they made everything really easy for us to relax and enjoy the evening and...
