New-ish spot in Bakersfield. Just opened a few months ago, they’re making a killing, not just because they are open late. But somehow there seems to always be a line. Located on coffeee north or Rosedale, they are definitely big enough that you can’t miss it. Ample parking, it’s right next to BWW.
Walking in, you find yourself in a pretty nice and retro setting. It was pretty busy every time we went. It’s pretty clean and there’s always a good ambiance. You order and wait for the food. Cashier are very friendly and have no problem recommending things.
We got to try almost all of the items on the menu. Let’s just say this is fast food and not healthy but for the fact, food itself is decent. The toasted bread is pretty good. Fries are crispy and decent. Nothing special to them. The chicken are pretty good, tender, but the batter is a bit different from most. It’s not as crispy and stuck on as what you would see at KFC or Popeyes. It does crumble pretty easily. The one thing that does make this place pretty good is their special sauce. It’s a combo of mayo with ketchup and may be lime or something. It’s hard to put my finger on it but it’s definitely making things taste better.
Overall, I’d give this place a solid 4/5 stars. Good food, good vibe, good customer service. They actually have their associate walk the restaurant and ask customers how they are doing and if there’s anything they can get them! That’s awesome that they look at their customers that way! Anyway, your turn to try it and let everyone know what you...
Read moreQuick Summary Hot and fresh chicken ready at Bakersfield! The hype is real, as this spot is drawing tons of people with their juicy and tender chicken fingers and oh so glorious Cane's sauce. There's still a lot of buzz about this place, so expect a long line dining in or drive thru (great workflow though, so the line moves quickly)
Food- 5 stars In regards to fast food equivalents, Cane's is top tier. Chicken fingers are hot, juicy, and tender. Texas toast was nice and buttery. Coleslaw balanced it all out. Fries are good too. And that Cane sauce goes well on anything.
Service- 5 stars Staff members are very friendly and attentive. It may be a long line, but they really did a great job of the workflow as the line moved quickly
Atmosphere- 5 stars I really liked the old school diner vibe and disco ball when dining in. The interior is all new, so of course it feels nice being there. It does get really crowded though, and you may have an issue grabbing a seat
Value- 5 stars $12 for the 6 chicken finger box (includes fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and a large drink) which was more than enough for 2 people. I'll be coming back whether it's lunch/dinner or late night snacking
Bottom Line Excellent food, service and value. Cane's is my top Bakersfield...
Read moreI'd never been in a Raising Cane's restaurant before, and this was a great experience. We were tired after a long drive (started the day in Death Valley) and made it to Cane's for a late lunch. The food was great! Sheesh even the bread! Yum!
Every team member was on point! Our cashier was patient with me ordering, and I sat down while my wife used the (very clean) restroom, and the cashier brought our order to our table! I was wow'd right there. But then the team member bussing tables was saying "have a nice day" to people as they left, making room for children going past... The kitchen team sounded orderly and respectful of eachother.
The decor was also great! There was actual art, clear examples of community support and involvement, weird/interesting little things here and there (one tiger print barstool! lol!) and just an obvious sense of identity and care. So often I feel like the inside of a fast-food place is just more ads for their products. Cane's does it better!
Certainly a cut above my typical fast food experience (the sodas tasted perfect at the fountain, too!) Thanks, Cane's team! Made this rest stop very restful indeed! Everyone was kind, even the team member I almost bumped into leaving the restaurant told me 'All good, have...
