If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm a tourist from the UK and I was looking for a homely small business restaurant to eat at. I saw the reviews and everything seemed positive. However once I arrived at Sage I was greeted by the unfriendliest member of staff who (from her body language) I believe was the owner. strangely she was rude to me when I walked in as though I was getting in her way. When I went to the toilet I overheard the servers talking about how they aren't allowed to keep tips from credit card payments which absolutely appalled me. In the UK we don't have a tipping culture because we have a legal requirement to pay a living wage, but I'm well aware that restaurant workers in the US survive from their tips. The workers were young and I feel like they were being taken advantage of by the restaurant owners.
