Taqueria El Atacor #7 — Restaurant in Baldwin Park

UPDATE: They changed cashier's so better service now as it should be, and food still just as good as before. Only that prices have increased which also means they no longer have $1 Taco Wednesdays. They have really good breakfast burritos and serve them really well. Still, regarding price, it's very fair considering you get to enjoy their atmosphere for the same price (or less) than those of all the taco trucks in the area which provide NO seating. You get small bags of tortilla chips, green or red salsas, curtido (jalapeno slices, sliced onions and carrots thatve been marinated in jalapeno juices), and diced onions in a bag of you like, too. They've been there for years, and I plan to continue going for that long, as well. 👍

OLD REVIEW: The light skinned hispanic girl who takes the orders has major issues. She either needs to be re-trained or replaced. The food is great, but good luck getting it thee way you want it. LITERALLY, the last 7 times in a row I've gone here for tacos, I've asked for crispier tortillas (so the meat doesn't fall through the tortilla when you lift it up), plus in a plastic container(not wrapped in aluminum). Yes, I tip beforehand, as well, only After I ask her twice if she heard me, and she says yes. But the cooks end up saying afterwards, every time, that she doesn't write it on the order ticket nor tells them anything other than what and how many tacos I ordered. ?! Again, 7 visits in a row, now. Plus, I've seen her take phone orders while I'm ordering, and she's rolling her eyes and talking low key smack talk when the phone client has put her on a brief hold. She seems to be too comfortable with her position or like she owns the place, but she's just a cashier. If she's reading this, all I'm saying, is SMILE, LEARN WHAT "COURTEOUS" MEANS, BE KIND, PAY ATTENTION TO SPECIAL REQUESTS, AND TREAT YOUR JOB LIKE ITS YOUR OWN BUSINESS. :) hope this gets fixed, but meantime, be warned. Tasty...

I'd been going to this place for sometime now. Their service used to be excellent. Employees were always happy and playing music. But now the moment you walk in you can feel the hostile environment. Everyone looks so unhappy, it is unbelievable how can one person bad attitude can change everything. I don't know her name. She has blond dye color hair, she's always in a bad mood telling everybody off, she does not care if costumers are listening, she also has a very bad customers service. She even charges for spoons and forks. Limits to 2 little bags of pickles or any other item like the salsa for 15 or 20 order of tacos. It looks like she must be the owner cause all of the employees are intimidated by this lady. I really feel sorry for these...

Bad customer service I got a caldo de res and it had one big bone and greasy meat around it and 2/2 different veggies and one corn I ask to change it and add more veggies please and thank you and she had a ugly attitude I seen the cashier lady putting it in a pot and touching it with her bare hands and meat and soup knowing she touches money from different costumer I didn’t think of it as nothing else as if she was going to give me new meat and once I got home I notice that it was the same meat she had touch and just took the bone off disgusting worker knowing she touches money and does cashier I had to throw the whole food away never coming...
