As a chef myself, I take food seriously—both in the kitchen and when dining out. While I love to cook, every now and then I like to take a break and explore different cuisines. Unfortunately, my experiences with this restaurant have been wildly inconsistent and ultimately disappointing. This was my third and final attempt.

The first time I ordered, I tried the Chicken Tandoori. Right away, I could tell something was wrong—the chicken was clearly spoiled. It had that unmistakable sour smell and taste of expired poultry. While it was dressed up nicely with spices and vibrant food coloring, those of us who cook regularly know that presentation can’t hide poor quality. I ended up taking the dish back to the restaurant and making them aware of the issue, hoping it was just a one-time mistake.

The second time, I decided to give them another shot and ordered the Chicken Biryani. This time, the dish was excellent—flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. It gave me hope that the first experience was just a fluke.

Unfortunately, tonight’s order confirmed a troubling pattern. I went with the Chicken Chili, and the chicken was tough, dry, and clearly overcooked—or more accurately, repeatedly reheated. As someone who cooks often, I know the texture of chicken that’s been sitting in a fridge for days and then zapped in the microwave multiple times. It becomes rubbery, nearly inedible, and unpleasant to eat.

Even more concerning, tonight’s meal made my mother very sick—showing clear signs of food poisoning shortly after eating. Nausea, stomach cramps, and vomiting are not symptoms you can ignore, especially when they’re directly tied to a meal that was clearly not fresh or safe to eat. That crossed the line for me.

What concerns me most is not just the inconsistency, but the serious food safety risks. Reheating old food to stretch its shelf life without knowing or tracking expiration dates is a dangerous and irresponsible practice. Spoiled chicken is not only off-putting—it’s a health hazard.

Sadly, this was my last visit. As a chef, and more importantly, as someone who values safe, fresh, and well-prepared food, I can’t justify supporting a restaurant that continues to serve food that puts people’s health at risk.

The Health Department needs to investigate how this restaurant keeps track of its expiration...

I recently visited a cozy Nepali vibe restaurant that looked promising under its new ownership. The place wasn't too busy, and the service was quick. Everything seemed clean, and I was excited to try their non-veg platter, which I had been eyeing for a while. Despite its higher price, the variety on the menu seemed worth it, as it listed all the items I had been craving.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. When I finally ordered the platter, many of the items were replaced with different ones, and half of the food tasted terrible. Some dishes were so bad that I had to spit them out because they seemed spoiled. This was my second visit; the first time, they didn't have the dish available.

For the price and the anticipation, the quality was severely lacking. While the platter looked good in pictures, the taste did not match up. I won't be returning and recommend saving your money and trying another place. Here’s a picture of the platter – it looks appealing, but don't let...

The food was amazing, but the service was terrible. We ordered Samosa Chaat, chicken curry, chicken momo, and naan. 20 minutes after taking our order the server told us there was no more chicken for the momo so we changed to the lamb momo. 15 minutes later the server tells us there is no chicken for the curry, so we ordered a different curry. 15 minutes later the curry comes out with rice and we ate it all. 10 minutes later the momo comes out and we ate it. We were ready to go at that point and the server asked if they had forgotten the naan. We told them they had but we no longer wanted it since we had finished all our curry. They made excuses and said that it was almost finished before making us wait an extra 10 minutes to take our naan to go. That is absurd behavior and inexcusable from even the most mediocre of restaurants. It’s a shame the food is so good, because I’d rather not have to experience this kind of...

Went here today for my birthday lunch. And oh my goodness the food is simply amazing. We got the non-veg platter and I hiiiiighly recommend it. Also the fried Momo's were really really good. When we went the owner was the only one currently working since it was just lunch time. He is kind and courteous, a wonderful chef and host. The price point is really good too. I felt like we got a lot of food and didn't break the bank. We will definitely come back here and bring many more people.
