Not sure why I’m just trying Maggie’s Farm, but man, it’s a must visit for real. I went for dinner with @bmorefood the other day and loved everything we got. Here were standouts: ▪️Sticky Honey Sriracha Cauliflower Wings ($18): an unreal texture and sauce. LOVED the homemade ranch that came with and it was topped with a grilled pineapple and sesame seeds. This was surprisingly good so def make sure to get it when you go‼️ ▪️MD Crab Dip ($18): I’m a sucker for crab dip so we couldn’t not get this. This was super tasty and came with the most buttery pretzel bread. Extra bread is $4 for 2 as an FYI🤤 ▪️Syrian Lamb Roll Ups ($18): my least fave app of the 3 but still yum! This ft Colorado lamb, mozzarella, matboucha sauce and tahini✨ ▪️MF House Burger ($23): def a banger. Made with 6oz Creekstone Farms beef, house sauce, B&B pickles, caramelized onion, bacon, cheddar, and fried egg on a brioche bun. ALSO, the fries that came with were SO GOOD. I almost liked them more than the burger 🍔 ▪️Pistachio Bread Pudding w/ mixed berry ice cream ($11): a perfect end to an outstanding meal. I can’t WAIT to go back! Additional Notes📝 ▪️Don’t park in the Safeway lot because they apparently ticket people, lol - thanks for the tip, @bmorefood. Try to find street parking 😊 ▪️They have patio seating ▪️The vibes there are so cute - it’s a very different kind of aesthetic and it feels v welcoming ▪️Service was fantastic - loved BOTH our servers. Okay, hear me out, this place is DELICIOUS. This was our first time here for brunch. We ordered: croque madam, thee steak and eggs, and the bread pudding. If you're in a hurry, here is the summary: it's a little pricey, but the food was FRESH and perfectly cooked and seasoned. More info: The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is small but this building is from the 1920s, so expect cozy seating. The vibe is cozy, intimate, but also casual. The restaurant is owned by a young couple and is very much family-owned. The staff clearly loves each other and their customers. I even witnessed the owner doing some basic sign language for some regulars who are hearing impaired. Since everything is fresh, they make to order and can customize. I recommend getting the homemade biscuit instead of the English muffin because it's made in house. The croque madam is excellent. It's a nice balance between a sweet brioche bread and salty ham. The bechamel gave a nice creamy taste in between the layers of thick ham. The steak and eggs was delicious. I recommend medium rare because the end pieces are more likely to medium with the center slices cooked perfectly. The chimichurri wasn't too intense and didn't have an overpowering raw garlic taste, it was delicious. If you get the homemade biscuit, get the jam and butter with it. The jam is something special. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time we got there, but their rolls look amazing. Instead, we got the bread pudding which was made with their cinnamon rolls and had a peanut butter ice cream and glaze on top. I love peanut butter and it was like dying and going to heaven. This is a great spot and brunch was first come first serve. I heard that reservations are good for dinner though because it is a small establishment. They have regular updates to their menus and new specials all the time from the looks of it. I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance. There were steps going up the door that I saw. They don't have a parking lot but there's parallel parking outside and plenty of spaces at the Safeway next door.

This hidden gem in the Arcadia Beverly Hills Historic District is a must see. Nondescript on Harford Rd itself, with its entrance on Montebello Terrace, it doesn't look like anything more than a small neighborhood dinner. Passing through the Patio, up the 3-step approach, one enters into a dark but cozy mid-space. Passing an impressive wine rack on the way to the dining area and bar is your 2nd indication this is a special place. The first is the prominently displayed Baltimore Sun's 2022 award for best cocktail. The server team effortlessly integrated their duties to make sure we were never ignored. Having had the lucky fortune to arrive a bit before the brunch crowd, the award winning mixologist, Dana Saeed provided us with tastes and samples to whet our imbibing palate before delivering a superlative Cosmopolitan and Classic Negroni. She also was able to serve up a cold shot of Chartreuse, before creating an imperfect but so incredibly tasting riff on a The Last Word cocktail. I'd never go back to the original recipe, except much like the Chartreuse liquor itself, Dana's contains secret house made additions that far overcame the lack of 1 of the original ingredients. For appetizers, we had the dumplings where the sauce made even the watercress delectable. Our party had a Montecristo, an eggs and grits with bacon, and a seared duck with veggie potato hash that puts all other home fries to shame. Proudly featuring Zekes coffee from just up the street, they served us an incredible chocolate topped cheesecake with a sweet foam, drizzled with dark chocolate. This little out of the way treasure is our new goto for celebrations, after work drinks and really good food. Because of the special drinks we ordered it was a bit pricey, but so very worth it. YMMV.

There are substantially better places to have brunch in Baltimore. From the service to the food, it was a particularly unpleasant restaurant outing. Regarding the service: we arrived with our family at opening (11am), we're a family of 3 (two adults, one toddler). We were given menus and told to pick a table outside. We then didn't see anyone for at least 15 minutes. No water/beverage order greeting in any timely fashion. After the host took our drink orders, we met our server. She's kind but obviously stretched thin. The cream that came with my coffee had a small gnat in it (it is summer, we were sitting outside, these things happen). In investigating this, the cream spilled. She offered to bring more, it didn't happen. We're fairly polite and won't repeatedly ask for something, so I made due. The food was atrocious. It looked enticing and tasted mediocre. The cauliflower wings had a chemically taste, I think from liquid smoke. There was a thick, brown gelatinous substance within the cauliflower that I couldn't identify. The chocolate cinnamon roll was also extremely artificial-tasting. I cannot emphasize how artificial the food tasted. Including "farm" in the restaurant title is a lie. I was so excited for fresh, vegetable-forward food and this restaurant failed to provide that. The annoying things, after all that:

  1. Our server forgot to put in part of our order. At other restaurants, the mistake would be corrected and the missing item would be comped. Not here. Granted, they were quick to get the missing meal out, but it was the toddler's meal (which, if you are a parent, you understand that's a tough oversight to get past).
  2. For the exceptionally slow she inattentive service, we're automatically charged an 18-20% tip. Now, I generally tip 20% - it's someone's livelihood and it isn't the servers fair the restaurant hasn't hired enough people. However, it wasn't obviously advertised in the menu and it was a rude thing to see after poor service. Don't get me wrong, the folks are really kind, their management isn't setting them up for success. For a $61 brunch - didn't include alcoholic beverages - I expect better food and a restaurant that is appropriately staffed. I recommend...

We have been enjoying Maggie's Farm since we moved to Hamilton a year and half ago, and every-time we walk in it is an absolutely amazing experience! The service is always top-notch and truly exceptional. The staff are attentive, friendly, and make us feel right at home.

The cocktails at Maggie's Farm are simply innovative masterpieces. Each drink is meticulously crafted, bursting with unique flavors that delights our taste buds. It's evident that the mixologists put great thought and creativity into their creations, making every sip an adventure.

The food at Maggie's Farm is nothing short of spectacular. The menu offers a diverse range of options, but the fish dishes are truly the stars of the show. Every time we’ve visited, the fish has been cooked to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and an incredible balance of flavors. It's clear that the chefs have a deep understanding of seafood, and their expertise shines through in every bite.

Brunch at Maggie's Farm is a must-try, and the veggie hash is an absolute delight. The combination of fresh, seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection and the harmonious blend of flavors is simply heavenly. Additionally, the weekly specials add a delightful element of surprise, ensuring that the menu always remains fresh and exciting.

One aspect that truly stands out at Maggie's Farm is the authenticity of their Syrian dishes. Each bite transports you to a cozy kitchen, where a mother's love and dedication are infused into every dish. The flavors are rich, comforting, and reminiscent of a home-cooked meal. It's a true testament to the talent and passion of the culinary team.

In conclusion, our experiences at Maggie's Farm are nothing short of extraordinary. The service, innovative cocktails, spectacular food, perfect fish, delectable brunch options, and authentic Syrian dishes all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. If you're in search of a restaurant that excels in every aspect, Maggie's Farm is the place to be. We can't recommend it...
