Michael's Pizza & Subs (+ Seafood) — Restaurant in Baltimore

As the Baltimore local food connoisseur, we tried Michael’s for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Let me just say - this place was phenomenal 🙌🏾 the place was so clean (and I surveyed all that could be surveilled from the counter boundary).

We tried the buffalo wings, the spicy pacific rim shrimp wrap, the shrimp salad sandwich on a bun (which actually came on plain sliced bread but still delicious), 12” Supreme Pizza, and onion rings. Everything was AMAZING, like there was not one thing that didn’t just plain taste damn good.

The Pizza tastes so fresh, it was if I walked in with fresh produce for them to top my pizza with. I kid you not - the.best.pizza.I.ever.had.in.Baltimore 😆 it’s just that good. Now the shrimp salad sandwich was the winner for me. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and also plentiful throughout. It is the winner in my book. A new personal favorite.

All the shrimp dishes were plentiful with shrimp, tho. The seasoning was moderate (I’m sure to be conscious of people with blood pressure and other problems). The deep, rich, fresh flavors were sending my taste buds.

All in all, I rate Michael’s Pizza & Subs 5/5 ⭐️ review. I would rate this super clean restaurant as a Must Try restaurant. Customer service was top notch and the phone was ringing off the hook. Dine-in is currently unavailable due to the pandemic. If you’re in town for work or just a day trip and looking for something that cooked fresh, to go, and moderately priced, go give Michael’s a shot.

I called in an order. Sadly I had to cancel because the person that offered to pick it up suddenly wasn't answering the phone. I'm not in the position to pick it up at the moment. The phone host didn't offer any options, hung up the phone. Mind you I paid by card. I called back asking abouty return payment. She said she could get delivered, informed her I don't live in the area. That's why I was mad at the person who obviously lied about his availability to pick up the food. I told the young lady I love too far, she offered to deliver it her self but they'll an extra 30-40mins. I told her no because I haven't eaten all day, n I have an headache. I asked if she could just have my money back. She said that was too much money to waste for food n she couldn't throw it away. That's a lie for one, two was rude to me because I cancelled the food. I'm pissed myself for trusting someone to help me in a bind. She told me to never call there again and that she'll put my money back on my card. She's supposed to stay on the phone until the transaction was completed. I don't trust that my money will be returned. If my money isn't on my card in three days, I'm reporting them to triple B( Better...

I've eaten here numerous times in the past. Always the same thing. Shrimp chicken cheesesteak. Never had an issue until tonight. Opened it up to find a piece of straight black hair sticking out, that I literally pulled out of my sub like it had been cooked inside. Disgusting!

The icing in the cake...the manager just handing me my money back without even hanging up the phone from taking another order or apologizing or acknowledging that it was unacceptable

EDIT: I never spoke with anyone when I returned. The woman at the counter pointed to the manager who was on the phone (the one he never got off of when providing my refund). The shadiest part of this all is this 'manager' now trying to gaslight based off a lie. If anything, the uncleanliness (NO ONE cooking at the grill had on hair nets) and lack of customer service warranted this review and given this response, maybe even a visit from the health department for sake of the communities health...
