Olympia Masala — Restaurant in Baltimore

Been coming here for years and they had such great service and food. However after today I am debating to return again. Let me explain. This is the first time I've placed an order online for carryout, do to the virus going around. I set the time for my food to be ready for 3:50. Alright cant wait! Love the food.

Upon arrival it is not ready, ok maybe they are busy is my first thought. Without any of the staff explaining why the food ordered is not ready. I wait for about 10 minutes another customer comes in and I over hear that she got the wrong order saying what it was. This was my order.

Apparently they made my food an hour early and gave it to the wrong customer. Now here is what bothers me the most, I've worked in food service for six years and there are some cardinal sins you never do. Here was one of them, after a few smirks by the staff, they tried to give me the food that the customer brought back, saying it was fine. I did not accept.

You NEVER, NEVER give food to a customer when it was already taken by another and returned for who knows how long.

The food they tried to give back was over an hour old from what I over heard, again touched by another customer.

The order was not ready.

The staff did not communicate what the problem was with my order.

This was insulting, unacceptable and clearly some of the staff do not care. Very upsetting when many people put their trust in them to make food in a safe, sanitary manner. My family and I have been debating on trying this place since it had a lot of dishes that arent abundant in the area. My biggest worry was the size of the menu, its sooooo big. It made me concerned on how the food could be fresh with so many different items. We dicided to give it a shot. We ordered a crab cake sandwich, chicken tenders, fries, curly fries, chicken biryani, veggie panjabi samosa and garlic naan. The best thing was the curly fries, they were crispy and yummy. My daughter gave the tenders and fries 4 stars. The crab cake was ok. I saw jumbo lump which made me happy but there was too much filler. For $20 i expected a solid crwb cake. The biggest complaint is with the chicken biryani, the chicken was good but the rice seemed like it was leftovers. Like it was cooked then microwaved. I dont want to say things that may or may not be true but our order was ready in less than 15 minutes, at 7pm on a friday, which lends me to believe a lot was premade and reheated. *The panjabi veggie samosa was jot good imo but some indian food has strong flavors and that does not reflect the restaurant, it may have been my pallet. I order from this place ALL THE TIME ! Never had an issue until tonight, ordered delivery 16in pizza, 8 wings all drums well done and a cheesesteak sub & 2ltr. The driver delivers the food but no pizza, oops they forgot ! Called the restaurant and they assured me the pizza was being made and will be on the way, in the mist of unpacking the rest of the food we noticed the 8pc wings were BARELY cooked & they were all flats! I called the restaurant a second time requesting a refund for the wings only, they were very rude and yelling no refund store credit only. After a slight argument we was told the driver was on the way with the pizza and to hand the him the WINGS for the refund. Once the driver arrived he not only took the wings but did not deliver the pizza, at that point I was told the whole order was cancelled and we get nothing.
