I’ve been going here for over 10 years. The food is phenomenal, the employees are top notch and the service is very fast, but they don’t rush you out at all.
My only complaint would be from my visit this morning regarding some pricing. You are unable to order JUST an omelette. I had ordered a cup of coffee, a western omelette with cheddar cheese and bacon in place of the ham. I aske no potatoes and no toast.
When the food came, it was phenomenal and quick as always.
However when the bill came, it was over $17 for an omelette and a cup of coffee. I understand the cheese brings a little extra cost, and the state of the economy right now, but I was also charged additional for the bacon, even though I was told it could substitute for the ham. I also wasn’t credited back anything for not getting the potatoes or toast,
The waitress was a very very nice woman, who explained that you will still be billed full price, and no adjustments will be offered for getting less food. She was very very apologetic, which is very kind of her, but she doesn’t set the policy so my complaint definitely is not with her.
I don’t like this, and wish the management would allow her to be able to make adjustments, and not double charge people when they are told substituting is available. Aside from steak, Substituting one breakfast meat for another typically would not bring about an additional cost. However, in this case it did and I was not made aware of that, or that even though I did not order potatoes and toast, I’d still be charged for them.
I would still eat here, and would love for it to still be my first choice in the area, however after this stint, it is no longer my first go-to spot. There are other options that are a bit further away that would better suit my needs and save me quite a bit of money for food I don’t want or need.
To the manager/owner; Please consider offering folks the option for a slightly lower cost, be able to order JUST the omelette without potatoes or toast, like you are able to do with many other single items, which can and cannot be ordered in “platter...
Read moreI was just there I ordered the steak and eggs add a couple extra eggs and a side of sausage steak wasn't cooked well Cooked to my liking . Also the toast was burnt I couldn't enjoy my meal whatsoever when I said something about it the waitress was very nice she took care of me very well Shane brought it over to the manager apparently which is the cook to I guess. When a state came back the steak was well-done instead of medium like I asked the cook took away one of the eggs and over half of the hash browns again I said something about it and the waitress is very nice she said, why don't you order something else so at this point all I've had is one egg and one slice of toast so I order an omelette and they gave me one last thing because I already ate an egg apparently hanging me a little tiny bit of hash browns and two slices of toast what use in coffee and still turn around and charge me 20 $21 for the breakfast which didn't make any sense I paid it but I'll never be back and I recommend this place to nobody. paying $22 for a 2 egg omelette a small side of hash browns and two toast in a coffee and a juice is highway robbery and a rip-off as far as I'm concerned I felt like I was being disrespected by the cook in the manager and I don't know why I did nothing wrong the food wasn't...
Read moreOne server for entire place. When I walked in an no one said anything, I stood there. A guy from the kitchen walked towards me and I smiled and started to say hello then realized he was just shutting the kitchen doors in my face, which made me chuckle. Finally girl behind counter turns very nicely and tells us to sit anywhere. Done. Quite awhile goes by before our food comes out and the waitress sees us looking bc everyone else in the entire place has received their food (yes, even people that entered and ordered after us). Waitress walks over and says very nicely, 'If you guys are wondering why everyone else got their food before you, it's bc you all ordered dinners and everyone else ordered breakfast." My friends and I looked at each other like that doesn't makes sense but whatever. One person ordered breakfast, one ordered a Cobb salad and one ordered a tuna salad wrap.... Do you see any dinners in there?! Lol food was trash and very much misrepresenting the "diner scene" in Baltimore. I've NEVER seen french fries that are just straight up plain cut potatoes at a restaurant before so that was a new experience. 🤮🤮🤮 Basically no flavor on anything. 2 salt shakers, hot sauce, old bay and dressings later and we were able to get the food down bc we were starving.
I do...
