Torinos Carry Out — Restaurant in Baltimore

My recent encounters with this carryout have left me infuriated, to say the least. I am compelled to caution potential patrons about the DOWNRIGHT FRAUDULENT practices that seem to be a NORM here. The only circumstance under which I'd consider returning is if it were the absolute last eatery standing, and I was on the brink of starvation.

The primary issue centers around a blatant disregard for honest billing. Not once, but twice, I've been slapped with charges that defy both the online menu and the in-store board. Confronting the owner revealed a disturbing lack of accountability, with feeble attempts to justify the inconsistency. A feeble apology was accompanied by a refund in cash, admitting to not bothering to update the menu.

This leaves me fuming. How many others fall victim to this swindling scheme, especially those who opt for card transactions AND NOT ASK FOR A RECEIPT OR JUST PAY ATTENTION? The audacity to exploit hardworking people in an already disadvantaged community is disgraceful. Despite a half-decent culinary effort from the cook, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment. The food was always good but I guess that rude lady is the manager OR OWNER one time I called and ask for two slices of pizzas then wanted a whole pizza then decided to just get two slices because of the price she then told me she wasn’t making a whole pizza for two slices so unprofessional moving forward today I order on the phone two cheese steaks I was put on hold upon returning she said two CHEESE STEAKS RIGHT I SAID YES I TOLD HER WHAT WAS ON BOTH she repeated cheese steak I went in to pay she rung me up for two cheese fish no big deal the cook made the right thing I came in to pay the lady wanted to make a big deal out of the situation things got heated she sent me out the door with free food smh we are all human we make mistakes but don’t go back in fourth with me about what Ik I ordered instead of saying sorry you fuss make a big seen cause u think I’m a lil girl that gonna just shut up NOPE NEVER ORDERING FROM THERE AGAIN ONCE AGAIN STEAK AND FISH IS TWO...

Torino's carryout is one of the best restaurants in Baltimore city and the best in that area. A lot of people complain about the prices of the food but I think that the food there is so good and it's worth every penny. However, the area that it's in is an area where a lot of low income families live and because that's where they're located they should lower their prices to accommodate the people who live in that area because they are the ones that scrap up enough money just to get one slice of their delicious pizza's and a lot of times still have trouble getting it because they may be a few pennies short. Thank God that they sometimes do have a heart and let them still get it as long as they're not too short. I'm so in love with their food, but just like a lot of other people in that area I just can't afford to buy any of their food unless it's the first of the month when I'm finally finished with paying the bills.
