I've been here several times with friends, and every experience has been great! Not only is the customer service fantastic (very attentive, willing to check in on you, knowledgeable staff, etc), they have a nice variety of liquor and wines that are easy to find in the shop based on region. Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember.

What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes.

Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area.

In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him.

P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm...

We used the Wine Source for our wine, beer, and cocktail hour for our wedding day and they went above and beyond the call of duty for us. We live in the neighborhood, so we frequent the Wine Source on a weekly basis so it was a no-brainer to use them for our wedding! We were able to go and select meats & cheeses we loved that we could also afford to feed 165 people on our wedding day. Adam was our cheese & meat connoisseur and really helped curate our cocktail hour for us. They cubed the cheeses, put them on presentation boards, and delivered to our venue, all at an affordable rate! For wines we also had a private tasting with Kasmir who knows more about wine than anyone ever should. He was so professional and helped us pick wines that were both delicious and affordable! They also buy-back unused/untampered bottles! The Wine Source really went to bat for us when we were unable to secure enough beer for our wedding, devastating! We were able to order last minute kegs of Union and also keep the beer we bought cold in their refrigerators. They were life savers. 10/10 would use again. And...

In normal times, this place is fantastic. However during the pandemic there are concerns. There is little to no social distancing being done by the customers. Part of this is due to the layout of the store (if you want to go to the beer cooler there is a really good chance to be surrounded and cornered) and the other part is due to the nonchalantness of the customers. The staff isn't much better. They usually walk in between customers, don't have proper masks or are not wearing them correctly, and do not enforce any kind of distancing. I'm sure they sanitize touch points such as the cooler doors, but I have not seen them do this so it may not be done regularly. For comparison every time I walk past Mom's someone is sanitizing carts.

tl;dr Go here at almost any time of the day to closely interact with the public...

I could live here, just give me a blanket and small pillow. They sell local varieties of coffee, which they let you sample for free. If you haven't already found this place, NOW YOU HAVE! They carry just about everything you'll ever need to entertain a table of wine loving, charcuterie fanatic guests. Fresh baked 🥖 that smells like heaven. Growing up European has its advantages 😉, you learn a few things about proper wine/cheese/smoked meat pairings. Charcuterie (shahr-cute-uh-ree) isn't just a French thing... many cultures in Europe have been smoking their game and crafting their own cheese for thousands of years. Cured bacon, ham, pâté and sausages. More esoteric items like terrines, rillettes, galantines and duck confit. I found my happy place in the heart of Hampden.

After coming here for 6 years or so. This is the best liquor store in the DMV and beyond. There is a wide selection of every, beer, wine and spirit. The selection is from all over. There is also a nice meat and cheese selection. Along with local brands for jerky, etc. Bonus points for carrying Little Amps Coffee. Would be beyond legendary if they stocked Onyx Coffee, PTs, or GGET.

The Wine Source has the absolute best selection and the best staff! I love that I can go in and find a new beer, wine, spirit...amazing cheese, too. Lauren always remembers what I like wine-wise and always helps me find something I will love. Same for Jed and beer. And, they support local non-profits whenever they're asked, which is incredible.
